sehmel homestead park

This is one of the best parks in the area. Great ball fields, Lots of grass, easy hiking trails, great place to walk your dogs on a leash (required). The whole area is well maintained and the staff is really friendly and will answer your questions. Lots of informational signs through the park. Nice restrooms and portable toilets in the remote areas also. Parking could be a problem on very busy weekends, but adequate during the week. And parking is free.
