At least half of the exhibits are broken or not fully functional. Many looked like they were junior high student projects, and there is erroneous information in a few. Many items are quite dirty. Admission should be reduced in the winter since none of the outdoor activities are operational. In addition, there were discount coupons for admission in the museum, but the staff didn't tell us & we paid full price. There seemed to be a handful of "staff," yet only 1 spoke to us. The others should have been investing their time in fixing the exhibits instead of sitting around talking! Definitely skip this attraction. The Brookings,SD Children's Museum is only a few hrs away and IMMEASURABLY better.

We decided to do something different while in Fargo. (Always the same old routine)This place was probably amazing in it's hay-day. It has all you could ask for in a kid's facility! Hands on interactive exhibits! Except...... most everything was broken in one way or another. Don't get me wrong, the kids still had a good time. This is my adult take on it. The staff was not really 'there'. Music man was in the house! But he was very introverted and the kids had a hard time getting motivated and involved. When he figured they lost interest he just shut everything off and waited for someone to make the next move. Literally just sat there, quiet, not saying a word. Compared to other facilities we have in Canada the price was more than fair. Perhaps the problem, maybe they need to charge more and start putting money back into the place. We were there in the winter so the train was already shut down for the season. We'll try again in the spring.

I have been here a lot over the last five years and it has not changed. Not once. It is still a cold, run down old house. There are many attractions but very few are actually operational. Majority of the "exhibits" have pieces missing or are flat out broken. There is a cow that is supposed to teach the kids how to milk but in all the years we've been going, it's never worked. We went a few days ago since we hadn't been in a while but we were still disappointed. For our family of 4 we paid over $25 for the kids to play with broken toys and color in their art section. We could have stayed home for free and played with working toys and colored with our own supplies. They didn't even have the heat turned on when it was snowing so we had to be bundled up inside! Everything is so dirty too. During the summer they have mini golf, and a train ride for extra cost. They are ok, but not worth the extra $12 for our family. This place could be wonderful with a little love and hard work from the staff. I understand this is run off of volunteers, grants and donations but literally nothing has changed in 5 years so I don't understand where the money goes. I wish someone who cares about it would buy it because they potential is there!

Attraction was a little dated. No Wow factor. The train was not working. 3 year old was bored and when it started to rain we were easily ready to leave.

Very excited to have our daughter's birthday here. Also excited to have a party assistant and themed birthday party with a 'fun game' Our daughter and entire party were left to wander for the first hour, host was non-existent. Came time to making an art project. Party assistant put out materials and sat in a chair. After this, she wiped down the tables. Cake and presents finished now and our guests and children were asked to put everything away and pick up items that we had not left out (fake vegetables, small shopping trolleys. Upon paying, I was told that since we had five extra people, we had to pay all the parents admission as well. This would be fine, except the woman I spoke with on the phone prior to all of this told me "we don't neet to worry about the adults" Party assistant might as well go home, as when I asked her about the train ride for everyone, she told me to round everyone up and talk to the woman at the front desk to arrange this. there was no game played, description of theme on Yunker website is laughable. 'Royal treatment'...I beg to differ.

Took grandchildren, ages 7 and 6, to museum. They liked the hands on displays once they knew what the displays were attempting to show. Younger children seem to have more fun just playing with everything. Took train ride on the grounds. For kids to get the most out of this location, adults need to partake in explaining some of the displays. Family involvement.

My kids have been going here since they were too little to remember and they still ask for it (ages 7 and 10.) We were two hours late to meet Grandma and Grandpa because I couldn't get them to stop painting, playing "Queen Bee," milking the cow, then going back upstairs and doing it again. We live in Minneapolis and have been to all the big museums, but Yunker Farm is the most interactive and they love it!

There are two main attractions at Yunker Farm: a miniature locomotive with cars for children and adults and a small carousel with horses. The museum building is small and not too interesting for children older than five or six. All four of our grandchildren enjoyed the short train ride and carousel when they were younger.

Very good for smaller children. Excellent staff. We spent a few hours here, wear your walking shoes.

Used to take my children to Yunker Farm for years; it was a lot of fun for them with interesting little animal and science displays plus a small train that circles around the place.

Great place to take our grandson on a Saturday morning, Lots of hands on exhibits. Friendly staff and reasonably priced.

Our 6 year old daughter enjoyed the museum and alphabet garden, so it was worth the time and money to visit this museum. I'd say this place is meant for kids under 5, so my daughter might have been a bit too old for it. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that I was expecting there to be a bit more here. I thought there would be a petting zoo and other good attractions besides the museum just based on the name "Yunker Farm". People who worked there were very friendly...a fun 1 - 1.5 hours of family time to break up a day of shopping!

We had a terrible experience. An older lady who worked there was extremely rude to my young daughter. She treated my daughter as if she did something terribly wrong barely 5 min into our visit there. My child was picking some plastic fruits from the wall trees. This woman told her not to mess around because she is not going to clean up after us. Although others were nice, I wouldn't go there again. My child got scared and upset, and still says that that lady was the meanest she ever met. Maybe, our non-white skin color caused her ire because my child was not making any mess there.
