There are a number of Farmer's Markets in the San Jose area.We like the West Coast Farmers Market in Cupertino. There are a number of vendors with fresh vegetables and very good prices (one of the less costly in the area). Often there are other things for sell too such as kettle corn, some dairy and meat, and more. There are also fun places to buy hot food for a casual lunch. We also like it as we usually can find a parking spot at Vallco Shopping Center, which is where the Farmers Market is held, fairly easily. The Farmer's Market is on Fridays. There is a web site with current location of the Farmers Market; currently they are by the JCPenny's store parking lot at Vallco (they used to be by Sears). It is open year round including rainy days.
