It is a national park, so there is a small admission fee. It is so worth it. I like to sit on any of the outlook points and just be. It's amazing. The view is second to none. Sunset is an extra special treat. Not to be missed.

Not too bad of a place for a scenic drive and then a stroll around the visitor's center to see the views of san diego. It was also fun watching Navy airplanes fly in and out of the base down below near Coronado. After taking a few pictures, we went down to the tide pools and watched the waves crash against the shore. All-in-all, it's a beautiful area and worth the $5 entry fee.

On a clear day this stop is worth the $5 car admittance fee. You are able to see a beautiful view of San Diego, lighthouse, coastline, and tide pools if you plan your trip at the right time of day. Wear your hiking boots and walk a couple of trails. Take a jacket on cooler days since you will feel the breeze off the ocean.

Gorgeous views of all parts of San Diego, affordable visit; a great walk around the area when the weather is nice. Don't forget to visit the tide pools as well!

I truly love the Cabrillo Monument. It overlooks the pacific ocean and San Diego. It was a clear day when I visited there and it sits high atop a mountain top and one can see for miles and miles . It was a true treat when I was able to see the various aircraft flying from the airstrip down below as they flew their various maneuvers. Just to the right of the Cabrillo Monument you can see the Point Loma Light house which sits atop another mountain top. It is only a short walk to the light house. There are many boards which outline the history of the Cabrillo Monument and the point loma lighthouse. I am grateful for a sunny day and the very cordial staff who were working at the gift shop of Cabrillo monument. Definitely a great family outting and also is wonderful for couples or those who are in town for business.

We visited the monument and visitors center during a spare day in our birding festival schedule. One thing was disappointing. The staff member we queried about a particular lizard we photographed was the inability of the staff member to identify the species.

This is a historical monument and a great place to look out. Fun to see what Cabrillo saw when he discovered the area. It also happens to be one of the best whale watching places. Take the first parking lot on the right. Unfortunately, it was too cold, cloudy and windy. It will cost $5.00 to get in. But there are great views, you will see lots of ships, and the other sice of Coronado Island.

Nice views and interesting history. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Makes for a good morning or afternoon stop or when you want to escape the city.

Cabrillo National Monument is run by the National Park Service and is worth the entrance fee. I found the historical part to be interesting with pictures etc. It is also a beautiful site to see the skyline of San Diego and take pics; especially at the monument. One special area you should not miss is the tide pools down by the beach. So many living creatures to sèe. Check for low tide and go for it. You will not be disappointed.

The lighthouse itself is fine and interesting enough, but can be seen pretty quickly. If you walk to the tidepools on a nice day, add the fourth star. Great views of Coronado and the bay.
