This museum is a must if you visit Palm Springs. The museum is rated in thetop 14 in the world. Visitors will see an array of WWII aircraft both from theEuropean and Asian war area. Of particular importance all of the restoredaircraft in the museum are flyable. For a town of approximately 45K Palmsprings has a world renowned museum. A must visit if you are in the area.

Great planes. A lot to see but it is a little expensive for what you get. $16 each and then extra $5 each to get the tour of the B-17 .... Another $5 each of the B-29.

As a retired airman (RAF) the Palm Springs Air Museum is one of the best museums that I have visited. The site is extremely well laid out and all the exhibits are well documented. In Palm Springs it is a must go to attraction.

we had a luncheon function at the museum yesterday. it was the dusty wings of the desert who support guide dogs for the blind. great food in a great setting. being a retired pilot the airplane displays were fantastic. a must go see for every one. great displays of our military in action protecting this once great country. god bless America..

For a relatively small operation, this is really well done. Lots of volunteer veterans to chat with, which was a lot of fun. We learned a lot about the air wars, especially during WWII. There was a lot of information about the internment of Japanese Americans, which is a sad mark on US history...but a lot of positive and patriotic stories as well. There were a dozen or more planes and helicopters to see and you can go into a B-17 (Flying Fortress) and see the inner workings. Nice gift shop to find presents for the grandkids. If you have time for sightseeing...go to this museum.

Nice Air Museum but not one of the larger ones like Pima or McMinnville, still worth seeing. Non-stop documenteries on the WWII era.

Visited here with my wife and mother in law today. There are a lot of cool planes on display and info exhibits. A large and friendly volunteer force was present to answer any questions. We even saw a landing of an old B-29 at the airport next door while there! Well worth a visit and very educational

We have visited this attraction many times and enjoy it every time. Two separate buildings, both covering WW11 - one for the pacific theatre and one for Europe. All the planes are airworthy. Great pictures, artifacts and models as well. Inexpensive and worthwhile way to spend a couple of hours

All of the volunteers are so knowlegable and so helpful. So much to see. Would even do this again, there was so much to see.

Presentations on Saturday at 1pm are followed by classic plane flybys with narration by the head of the museum who knows everything, and every story, about these historic airplanes.I know nothing about airplanes, and this would normally be a place I wouldn't necessarily be attracted to, but... I'm a member and last week got out of bed the day after a hernia operation to see the Tuskegee airmen and the fly-in (right up to the podium inside the hanger) of a P51 Mustang they flew. The museum is celebrating the acquisition of this plane they plan to restore.Check out their programs on their website. They are of uniformly very high quality.

I love old aircraft, particularly the piston powered types and this museum has an impressive lineup to be sure. Sadly their facility is too small to properly display the planes and because they are all crowded in together it's hard to take good pictures of them. The wings of the Grumman Wildcat & Hellcat were folded as if for storage on an aircraft carrier - interesting, yes, but disappointing that one couldn't see the aircraft with the wings spread. There were also some planes in there that had little interest to me; I can see a Cessna 172 any day of the week without having to pay. Yeah, it's warm in the buildings but it's Palm Springs for heavens sake! The cost of airconditioning that hangars would be prohibitive. I would still recommend aircraft buffs visit this museum. It is nice to see the old warbirds; too bad they didn't have more room.

If you have even a remote interest in our nations military/air history, you will love this museum. It has inside and outside venues with lots of detail all presented in immaculate settings.

If you like airplanes, particularly old planes you will love this museum. this is a good opportunity to get up close instead of watching in awe as they fly overhead.

Conveniently located on the far side of the International Airport, you'll find two hangars and a ramp full of flight capable historic military aircraft, lovingly tended and expertly presented by a cadre of expert docents. Aircraft are carefully placarded with model information and the aircraft's role in the military. Displays throughout the museum herald the history of aviation in our military - including an expanding display on Women in Military aviation. The museum has many educational lectures and special events, and often an opportunity to go fly. The gift shop, while small, has the obligatory t shirt s and models to take home. Don't miss this slice of living history!

We went to the air museum because it rained and we couldn't golf. It was a great alternative. There were lots of WWII planes, photos, memorabilia, and videos. If you like WWII history, you will love this place.
