很幸运登岛了，灯塔建在某岛上，一天只有最多2个时段退潮，加起来不到2个小时的时间可以到达，景色不错，我们回来时看塔人一直催我们赶紧走，果然回去路淹了，淌着水回来的，再过后就彻底没路了

Definitely a well preserved lighthouse with a lot of history. Also has limited visitor hours for those who are curious and can time it right. No doubt better specimens along the coastline, but I was glad to spend a few minutes here.

If you do nothing in Crescent City but one thing do visit Battery Point Lighthouse!!!!!! Take the tour. It is so interesting and such a beautiful scenic site. Just know you can only visit when the tide is out but it is sooooooo worth it. My husband I visit the Lighthouse ever time we come to Crescent City.

The lights is beautiful! We visited in February, so the lighthouse was closed but we saw a pod of gray whales.

We arrived in Crescent City in the evening and it was stormy and high tide when we were there, so we couldn't get close to the lighthouse. But it was a beautiful spot, and we would like to go back when it was low tide and the weather was nicer, so that we could actually walk the short distance across the pebbled ocean bed to get to the lighthouse.

It was as easy walk to the lighthouse up a slight incline. The museum was not open when we were there but it was worth the walk up to it just to see the view from the lighthouse. There are a couple of picnic tables to sit at and enjoy the view. Well worth the walk to it and easy for young and old

In the off season, this place is only open during low tide and on the weekends. I called ahead and was able to unsure we were going to be able to walk out to the lighthouse.First off, this is one of the most picturesque lighthouses in America. With the windblown tree it is great to take pictures near or far. The walk out to the lighthouse itself is great. It is surrounded by the ocean, sand and many fun to search tide pools. The grounds of the lighthouse are very well kept and offer amazing views of the ocean and the town from a slightly elevated position.There is a fee for the lighthouse tour, and possibly a wait to get to it. At our time there was a 30 plus minute wait, so we declined.A must see if you are in the area!

Battery Point Lighthouse is a wonderfully picturesque structure perched on top of a small rocky island just off the shore near Crescent City’s harbor and can be seen from many points. The island is accessible at low tide by a short walk from a parking lot at the end of A Street across the rocky, temporarily dry channel followed by an uphill climb to the lighthouse. Tours of the excellently maintained and furnished lighthouse and keepers quarters are provided by enthusiastic, knowledgeable volunteers that take turns staying on site. Tours are offered for a small fee daily from 10am to 4pm April through September and on weekends the rest of the year, tides permitting. To verify the actual times, if any, the tides will permit crossing of the channel for tours within the 10 to 4 window, call the lighthouse at 707-464-3089, Main Museum at 707-464-3922 or stop by the Crescent City Visitors Center a couple days in advance. During our visit, the tides only permitted tours between 10am and noon on a couple of days. Fortunately, we arrived on the island early and got in line as it grew quickly. Seeing the line growing, the guides opened and started early but only a few can tour at a time given the tight quarters. After our tour, we stayed and explored the island for a while and by the time we left, it became apparent that not everyone in line was going to get a tour before the rising tide forced a return to the mainland. So, if you wish to go on this very worthwhile tour, check the times in advance and get there early.

This is a very nice scenic lighthouse only acessible at low tide. It was difficult for us to find where to access the lighthouse but once we did, there was a pebbled ocean bed that you had to walk across to get there. It was not open when we were there but it was so peaceful to explore the small grounds. It is a great place for photos. I wish that we could have taken a tour to get the history here. We were just going to take a peek but ended up spending an hour here.

The weather was great! When the tide is low, you can walk right up to it. Perfect distance from everything! A Peer next to it where you can see people crabbing. A Jettie where you can walk on and experience the Tsunami aftermath.

Such a wonderful place to add to your trip. You can seat back and feel so revived. All you need to do is sit there, feel the breeze, hear the ocean waves, feel the sun on your face, and relax.The view, tour,and history. You can see whales in the distance at the right time of year.

The Battery Point Lighthouse is only accessible when the tide is low over a small stretch of land. This is one of the few lighthouses that still has personnel living in the lighthouse year around. They provide tours for a small fee of the living quarters and the lighthouse lantern. The tour is interesting and educational, describing life in a lighthouse that is not found with automation and GPS locating. A small museum and gift shop also is located in the lighthouse.

We were there about an hour before sunset so had some stunning views of the lighthouse in the sun. One could walk out and go visit the lighthouse. Battery Point Lighthouse is one of the first lighthouses built on the California Coast.

We lucked out and were there on a clear night with a half moon. The lighthouse had flood lights to show it off in the darkness. With the moon reflecting in the ocean we ended up with some great pictures.

Very cute lighthouse with antiques inside and a history of the lighthouse. It is the symbol of Crescent City. All the local school children go there on field trips and then have picnic at beachfront park. In good weather it's very fun. Easy walking.
