topaz lake

We have visited Topaz Lake a number of times. We have enjoyed picnics and fishing in the area. We have also visited the casino there. The restaurant at the casino (Topaz Lodge and Casino) has a very nice view of the lake. The restaurant often has dinner specials such as spaghetti night.Lake Topaz is a desert type lake with nice views.One can also drive along the lake.We have visited Topaz Lake area a number of times.One note:If one takes the western highway 395 drive:When driving south on the road one will go through a California inspection station.

I enjoyed swimming in this wonderful lake. The water was clear and warm and felt great on a hot summer day.

Unbelievable spaghetti dinner. Best i've ever had, and we've had spaghetti in Italy, San Francisco, Spain, and NY. The garlic bread is perfect. Perfect place to take a rest stop on our weekly commute on 395 between Sonora Pass and Reno. Great view of the lake from the diningroom and the dinner price is unbeatable. I'm glad we finally stopped, it was unexpected.

Pretty, serene, peaceful, just took a walk around the shore.

Topaz Lake itself is an artificial lake stocked with fish. Popular among fishing types. It does not have much of a beach.

Auf der Fahrt von Reno/NV. zum Yosemite Nationalpark/CA., sind wir am Topaz Lake vorbei gekommen. Der Lake liegt etwa 120km südlich von Reno an der US Route 395.Mitten durch den See verläuft zudem die Grenze zwischen Nevada und Californien.Es ist ein eher kleiner See, allerdings gibt es hier Campingplätze und auch Lodges.Weiterhin sind hier Bootfahren, Wassersport und besonders Angeln möglich.
