这是帕索罗布尔斯酒窖里我们最喜欢的酒窖之一。带着你的午餐去,可以一边野餐,一边欣赏雕塑和橡树。那里的员工非常热情好客,让你都不想离开。诶呀,那酒实在是太好喝了!

单是这里雕塑和宅院就足以让你参观这个酒庄了。要到这个地方不容易,但是来看艺术和品酒值得长途的驾车。这里的开心果也相当不错。要记得带相机来。

我和儿子和儿媳妇来的这里,我们喜欢这里的酒还有艺术品,花园很漂亮,有很多雕塑,酒也好喝,服务友好,我们还买了一瓶酒回去呢。

这儿的雕塑真的很赞,我回来只为了看这些雕塑。品酒屋还好。人不多,服务员很安静。葡萄酒很美味,但这个地方的一切都关乎艺术 。这儿还有一张地图,标明了不同农作物的种植地区。

在加利福尼亚期间去了这家雕刻艺术酒厂。第一次去的时候,这里还不是很忙,品酒屋也很体面。他们服务我们很周到,但是有时候会有些疏远。在津芬葡萄酒节(ZinFest)期间我们第二次来了这里。很显然,如果你不是他们的常客的话,你就享受不到他们对待常客的服务待遇。我们是葡萄酒俱乐部会员但这并不代表什么。花了钱,又被别人当成无关紧要的人来招待,感觉有点失望。葡萄酒和艺术品都很棒,你只是不知道他们一天天会怎么对待你。

Was invited by some friends to attend their Sunday free concert, and was pleasantly surprised at the sculptures and art surrounding the winery. Enjoyed picnic and wine that afternoon, and the bands were tasteful for the setting.

Sculpterra is a great visit for wines, home grown pistachios and incredible sculptures nestled gently in manicured gardens. It’s located not far from what I cosider the best winery to visit, Still Waters (see my review), amongst the rolling Paso Robles hills on the eastern side.The quality of the sculptures probably outweighs the quality of their wines, and the home grown pistachios come a close second – available in 3 flavours: lime and chilli (match with beer not wine); garlic and herb; and natural (perfect with wine and cheese). It’s not that their wines are awful, quite the contrary and the prices are also quite reasonable. But the art does over shadow them. The sculptures include artists Dale Evers, John Jagger and Robert Bentley who was the original artist and produced the elaborate front gates. Take some time to stroll around the gardens exploring the pieces. There are smaller versions available inside but their price tags are much heftier than the wine.On that front be warned that the wines do all have a huge alcohol content which indicates that the winery does find it difficult to obtain physiological ripeness (it’s a geography and topography thing). So in getting the flavour profile right it makes sense they require a higher sugar content (baume) in the graphes, which when converted to alcohol by the yeast results in most of their wines being between 15% and 17% alcohol. I do wonder if using a less efficient wild yeast rather than inoculating would help to keep the alcohol profile down.Our cellar door guide, Dale, was an absolute delight and briefly introduced us to winemaker Paul Frankel, who was in the middle of a blending session. Dale, being a wine maker herself and their next door neighbour, was very knowledgeable and took us through most of their extensive range despite the $5 to taste up to 8 wines policy (it’s one of the perks of being in the wine industry). Sculpterra wines range in price from $22 to $60, although there’s a good discount if you join their club.Overall the wines were fairly good, in fact better made structurally than many in the region. But with average cropping yields of 5 tons to the acre it starts to explain why this winery is not getting the flavour concentration of smaller more boutique vineyards who may crop as little as 20% of that. As such I did tend to find their wines a little ‘watery’ (i.e. lacking flavour concentration) and too alcoholic for my palate, particularly the whites. The best choice is their 2013 Rose, Paso Pink ($26) although at 15.2% alcohol it packs a punch.On the reds front the picks are 2012 Mourvedre ($36) at 15.9% and the 2012 Figurine ($40) – a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Primitivo and 17% Merlot – at 15% alcohol. Both worth some cellaring time to maximise their potential, if you can wait. It’s also interesting to note that labelling laws allow wines to vary by up to 1% in either direction from what’s listed on their label. So if a wine lists 15%, it could actually be anything from 14-16% alcohol. It’s also interesting to note that sales tax changes once wines hit 17%, so you will rarely find anything listed that high on a label, although it actually may be if it's at the plus 1% end.Perhaps my review here is a little harsh – Sculpterra is a beautiful place to visit and there is no doubt you’ll have a wonderful time. Sculpterra also do a couple of really cool things...First they donate a portion of their wine sales to variious worthy charities, so your drinking is 'giving'. Second, rather than a bunch of flowery words to describe the wine they let science, and your palate do it. On the back of the labels lists all of the winemaking data - that technical stuff that you find in tasting notes or when speaking to the winemaker. All very cool.When visiting Sclupterra there are just three things you need to remember to make the most of your visit: 1. Make sure you spend some time to explore the sculpture gardens 2. Taste the wines (and buy the wines), but make sure you spit if you’re driving, and 3. Buy some of their amazing pistachios!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The sculpture garden was fun, entertaining and the grounds were beautiful. Would come back and picnic for sure. Wine tasting room had fun gifts and excellent wine. We left with a case and have already ordered more. Staff was helpful and friendly, despite our hitting the tasting room 30 mins before closing.

Beautiful Sculptures. Great wine. Reasonable wine club. Joined their wine club after our first visit. Have only attended one of their wine club events, but it was fantastic.

Went down a few dirt roads to get here and it was well worth it. Went on a Sunday around 3 o'clock and it wasn't very crowded in the tasting room. There was about 15 or so listening to the live music outside. Enjoyed the wines very much, loved the pistachios that are grown on the property, and the sculptures are quite the sight. We found an advertisement that gave us free wine tasting and 10% off any wine purchases. Our server was also quite personable and recommended another winery (Sextant) based on what we liked here.

Sculpterra is worth visiting simply for the beauty of its winery and gardens laden with amazing, modern, sculptures. What a lovely place to picnic! But, absent any such gardens, the wines are fabulous!! There's a modest tasting fee, which I think is applied to the purchase of a bottle of their lovely wine.

We have been to many local wineries and were looking to join another wine club and well we won't be back. The wine was actually good...we've had it before at different events that's why we were interested, but the customer service was the worst in the paso region!!!! We love a few of the wines but I refused to purchase any or become a member based on the horrible customer service here.

We visited Sculpterra for the first time on a recent trip to Paso Robles. A little bit off the beaten path, the tasting room and gardens are peaceful and beautiful, and feature extensive decorative metalwork and large scale sculptures. We took and intermission in our tasting between the whites and the reds, and enjoyed a picnic (with a bottle of Rose) on the back patio. Later on a weekday afternoon, there was no crowd so we were able to take our time and enjoy the day and Sculpterra wines. The Frankel Family has truly done a wonderful job here. As we were leaving with our wine purchases we had the opportunity to meet the winemaker. Strong recommendation for Sculpterra.

I was invited to Sculpterra for a blind tasting. I was amazed by the artwork and gardens. A walk through the gardens (front and rear!) is a must. I have been to many, many wineries (though admittedly, not in this area) and this is one of the most beautiful I have seen. The tasting room is amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Oh, and the wine...superb! I will be back!

Sculpterra produces several outstanding wines, the winery setting is beautiful, indoors and out. There are several places to sit and enjoy a glass or bottle of wine. The tasting fee is low, art is on display and for sale, they have resident artists and guest artists. Originally I went to taste the wine, but now I'm hooked on the entire experience there.
