Because we've seen Opolo wines on many restaurant wine lists, I was convinced that Opolo would be large and commercial...not at all!The tasting room is in a warehouse space, in a relatively remote (beautiful) part of Paso Robles. The atmosphere is what we like in Paso--low key. Opolo is known most for its Zinfandel wines, but we also enjoyed their other red wines, particularly their blends. As we drove away, my wife and I commented that we can't think of another winery (other than very large and commercial, Justin) where the wines are so consistently good. Enjoy!

With the nice patio area outside and their flat bread pizza oven, its a nice place to stop. The winery tasting room is pleasant but busy. We shared a tasting of several wines; this time we did not purchase any wine, but it was still a pleasant place to go. They have hiking trails, an on site inn, and different activities during the year such as a European cruise that one can purchase and be involved with. There is also various other things (shirts, food products, etc.) to purchase at this winery. Its a popular winery for both tourists and locals,

Opolo is a few miles out of Paso Robles on Vineyard Drive in a great winery area. This is the place to enjoy local wines in a friendly atmosphere. Try to schedule your visit in order to attend one of their events... they're awesome. We'll see you there !

Love all the whites here and the red Zin. Had lovely time at the Tasting room set among the gorgeous grape vines.

This was our third & last winery of the day and was recommended to us by the hotel we stayed at the previous night. We immediately bonded with our wine tasting hostess because we shared common memories of upstate New York. All the wines were excellent & it was hard to choose which ones we liked best. Dinners are served Thursday-Sunday (we were there on a Tuesday) and have an Eastern European flavor - lamb dishes are a specialty. $10 per tasting but waived if you purchase two bottles of wine. Prices were not expensive. Definitely worth a visit!

You can't miss on having a good time at the Opolo tasting room. In addition to good wines there is a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the tasting room.

We attended the fall wine dinner at Opolo Vineyards with friends. It was fabulous from beginning to end. Lively entertainment, lovely setting, good wine, tasty food, friendly people. It was a really fun evening!

Opolo wine tasting is located in a warehouse like structure but it serves it's purpose. The servers are very friendly and knowledgeable. They offer free sausage and crackers to cleanse your pallet. The other wineries we went to did not offer anything free. Fun music playing while you are enjoying you wine. They have a gift shop as well.

This has to be one the most friendly Wineries. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This was my second visit. Opolo makes a broad range of wines but the Zinfandels in particular are my favorites. You should not over look the wonderful Spanish Style wines both the Albarino and Temparnillo are wonderful and not widely available outside of California. Overall everything tasted very good and nothing was sub-par. The wines are price fairly and the wine club is one of the better ones that I have seen. I plan to visit Opolo each and every time I'm in Paso Robles. Wear comfortable walking shoe there some nice trails that take you through the vineyards.

This was our 2nd visit. Loved all the wines. Service by Emily was fun. Loved all the wines and even joined the wine club (something we never do).

Do not miss the drive from Hwy 46 down Vineyard Drive to this winery, which is through overhanging trees and beautiful vineyards. We enjoyed the tasting at Opolo, which has some great Zinfandels in particular, plus some more inventive red blends including a surprising Malbec. We were there on a less-crowded Monday. Room is spacious and has a nice outdoor patio featuring a pizza oven that wasn't in operation during our visit. Our man behind the counter was friendly, low-key and knowledgeable. The tasting room is a slightly ugly prefab building, which detracted slightly.

The winery doesn't have the views or gorgeous tasting rooms of some of the other wineries nearby, but the wines speak for themselves. Complex and delicious they run the gamut from moscato and albarinos to Cote du rhones and Chateneuf du papes, they have an incredible selection, and all are worth trying.

A couple locals recommended this winery. We only tasted a couple whites, Albariño and Pinot Gris. Both very good. Walked up to their picnic area where they have a big harvest party in the fall. Nice covered patio. They were cutting walnuts to make their first walnut liqueur. Very enjoyable.

When we take friends on tours around the area, we always work it to stop here around lunch. They have a great patio area and fix wood fired pizzas. They have some really unique blends of wine. really worth the stop.

First, Nicole was the best. She knew her wine. And she was extremely nice and professional. Every wine was good, whether you like red or white
