我和老公是红酒俱乐部的会员好几年了,如果你也喜欢红酒的话,那我告诉你这是一个好地方。无论我们何时在品尝房间(我们一有空就去),我们总是讨论这个俱乐部。人们说我们好像是以这个为使命或者在俱乐部工作。(当然两者都不是,但是我也不会反对每三四次介绍后得到免费的一瓶。)我只喝红酒,所以对于白葡萄酒我不能评论,但是他们的红酒真的很棒!味道浓郁,甚至可以尝到葡萄的味道。我老公喜欢巴贝拉而我喜欢西拉葡萄酒。如果你没有喝过的话,你可以喝一杯试试。味道很棒......而且我也觉得我试过的没有不好的。品尝房间很漂亮。看起来像一个旧式的沙龙酒吧,服务员很棒!他们并不像在其他地方遇到的服务员那样高傲自大。如果你是第一次来品尝的话,服务员会非常友好的教你品尝红酒。每次去我们都能学到新东西。不需要品尝费,也不准带入宠物。

从你走进前门的那一刻开始,看到这个独特的老式吧台,它和任何其他我见过的品酒吧台完全不一样。然后你会受到最友好的“专业调酒师”的迎接,他们对葡萄酒了解得非常透彻。他们一边倒酒,一边非常友好幽默地和我们聊天。播放的是弱拍、欢快的背景音乐。所有一切都将这个酿酒厂和“玩得开心”这一准则联系在一起。还有,同时我们还品尝了一些真正非常棒的葡萄酒。

我加入这个红酒俱乐部已经很多年了,我一直到这里品尝极品的美酒,而且这里环境很棒,很温馨,而且大家都很友好。但还是会发生一些小事情令人不愉快。我们刚不久收到俱乐部的信件,说白色的葡萄酒被红酒代替了,我们虽然是一般的红酒爱好者,但是我们也对白葡萄酒情有独钟。我还专门为了这个事情打电话给酒庄,酒庄表示为了弥补我们,专门为我们做了根据我们味道的红酒。而且过了段日子,我们还收到了酒庄寄来的一瓶白葡萄酒。如果你想要一个极致的红酒体验,就来这里吧!

We were told it gets busy and isn't as intimate on weekends but we visited on a Tuesday and felt like royalty. The wine was for the most part delicious a few not so enjoyable but overall memorable. The old bar is really cool.

Went for tasting, ended up with a case to take home! Also bought my wife a t-shirt that says "wine rack" - humor! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wine (we did all reds) was delicious.

We visit the Tobin James winery every year , it is a fun fun place tp taste , kind of like the old west meets California wine cool!The Reds they make especially the Zinfandel is very very fruit forward , it's my wife favorite wine in the world , and we've tasted wines in all the great wine production areas.So, if you like big peppery fruit forward wines , you must try Tobin James!Besides that , they are a fun fun group !

Tobin James has to be one of the funnest wineries in Paso Robles! Make sure you stop by and enjoy their wine and wonderful hospitality!!

Tobin James is a popular destination, not only because it has big bang for your buck (check out their $99 case special on reds), but it has free and generous tastings along with the motto “just have fun”. They do receive coach tours so you might need to pick the right time if visiting on weekends.Whilst my wine-industry husband was looking forward to revisiting Tobin James, I have to admit I was less enamoured with what they had on offer. We were served by an Italian with a thick accent, and whilst he had a great sense of humour, it did make it difficult to understand some of the finer points about the wine.Overall I found the whites disappointing and sweet, and the reds less finely structured, overt and big with lots of longevity. These are the sorts of wines that you can travel with, expose to moderate temperature fluctuations, and they will still perform well.Best buys are the 2011 Petit Syrah “Black Magic” ($25) and the 2010 Merlot “Made In The Shade” ($18) which has had a little more time to settle and has benefited from 10% Syrah. The 2012 Sangiovese “Primo” ($18) is also worth checking out but at 14.6% alcohol it packs a punch. It’s also worth noting that you might be able to pick up some of these wines cheaper at Vons.Finally, don’t forget to ask for some free stickers, they make great mementos for kids.

Tobin James is definitely decent wine, not spectacular but decent. This is more about the ambiance, it's an interesting/quaint kind of old west bar feel, lots of people, tour busses regularly, huge wine list kind of winery. Definitely a party/rowdy/noisy tasting room. It is a fun place to visit but once was enough. There are a multitude of other quality small wineries/tasting rooms in Paso to avail yourself of with much better wine in a setting where you can hear yourself think and enjoy the wine.

The obvious benefit is the free wine sampling. Once you realize the opportunity to get the high end Zin's for just joining the club its a no brainier. The bold fruit Zinfandels are really incredible and I had no idea I liked them before visiting Tobin's.

Check out this winery. If you have gray in your hair you'll feel like s dinasour, but the wine is worth it!
