We take our 8 year old granddaughter here at least once or twice a year. She loves it and we have a great time in the summer weather playing with her in the water. They also have video games, miniature golf and go-carts, but the main reason we go is for the water features, pools and slides. They do a great job of keeping everyone safe with lifeguards everywhere. The facilities are clean with lots of tables, shade, lockers and quick food eating options. We have always had a good time. A LOT of kids and parents share our enjoyment of this water park.

We visited Golfland Sunsplash this past weekend for some mini golfing. You can choose 18 holes or 36 holes. We went with 18 holes and could choose an easy or hard course. We chose the harder course. I enjoyed the course. The holes were challenging, but not impossible. They had several where you could get a hole in one pretty easily. I recommend a visit for a date, with family or even with friends.

Much better than sitting around having coffee, enjoy a round of golf and then race your mate. The cars are powerful and they let you run go around the track at a fast pace. The entire park is very clean and safe, for kids and adults.

We got season passes this summer. The earlier you buy them, the lower the price. Also, you get a discount on guests. If you have a large group, rent a cabana. Most people congregate near the entrance, but there are more tables on either side. You can also get refillable cups for drinks and icees that are worth it if you are going more than one time, as you get refills for $1. You can't take food in, but they sell cheeseburgers, pizza, chicken strips, and burritos out by the pool and Subway inside the arcade. If you get there early, you can usually get a good chair or spot, and get a locker. You are charged $10, but get $5 back when you turn in the key. My kids were 8 & 10 and we went almost every weekend. There are tons of slides and different areas to keep the kids entertained. They do need to add more bathrooms, but all the staff that I encountered were friendly and helpful.

Cool arcade games and two 18-hole miniature golf courses. There is also a go-kart track and a water park that was closed for the season during our trip. It's great for all ages and won't break the bank!

We went for our very first time at the night slide. Due to the weather, they posted that they were going to close the slides a half hour earlier than usual. I was thinking, "No way! It's been so warm today, why close it early?" Well ... at about 8:30, it was freezing, and the girls were D-O-N-E! The plus was that the wait was shorter than during the day, so for the low price it was worth a trial. This year, however, I will be getting us season passes so that we can go more often. I would seriously recommend spending the money to get one, so that in the event of a cooler night, you don't have to worry about the lines. Be aware that you can NOT use your season pass for a night slide, so that's a little bit of an inconvenience, but for the most part, we'd probably just go during the week anyway during the summer.ALSO - for the tinier teens, the life jackets were harder to find. It would be nice if someone was actually in charge of making sure the lifejackets were hung up instead of just being tossed on the ground, as well as having someone there to help with the younger children.

Multiple choices from floating to full on kamikaze rides in the water. Wave pool is excellent and very large. Typical park food choices at the normal marked up prices. Private lockers to hold your stuff during your stay. Mini golf course is challenging but fun for the kids as well. Video arcade is large and can accommodate many. Parking sucks but you can come early or get a voucher with the local restaurant to park there. Lines can be long in the summer but the rides are super fun!

A compact water park but we found plenty to do that was enjoyable for all three of us (including a water park wimp!). Everyone was courteous with tubes, allowing others to get a go on the rides and there were plenty of staff around. Given that this was a Saturday in August we did not feel that the queues were excessive. Park was clean and tidy. I am sure the management would say that is because they do not allow any food in. That did irritate us as we do not want to buy the sort of food that such parks traditionally offer. So we just had a hungry day.

I came here with my siblings for a day at the water park, and it was probably the best one I've been to in years. The rides were awesome, the staff were extremely friendly and nice (they looked like they were actually having fun, which is rare at most of the water parks I've been to). The lines weren't too bad (around 20-30 minutes for the big rides like master blaster or stealth). It's a small water park so there isn't much walking to do. And many of the slides ended in the lazy river (which I thought was cool). As a SoCal resident, I'm used to raging waters, hurricane harbor, soak city, etc. This park was better than all of them. The only downside was the food. It was overpriced and not very good, but that seems typical for any water park nowadays. And the rides and friendly staff made up for it. For $30 (and $10 for a locker), it's worth it, and I recommend it for anyone in the Sacramento area trying to escape the 100 degree weather. My siblings and I had a lot of fun. If I lived up there, I'd return in a heartbeat.

Attended this attraction with a large group of family members on a day of 104 degree summer weather. While the place was very busy and crowded, we had a fantastic time. My niece scraped her heel on one of the rides and the EMT staff at the first aid station were very professional and competent to address and dress the wound. Definitely at fun place to cool off and hang out with 1000+ other folks and their kids!

We first played minature golf and then spent quite a few hours in the water park. Great place to go in 90 + degree weather.

My family has been going to golfland sunsplash for years. But our latest two trips this year in 2014 have been the most fun we have had for a couple of reasons and I thought I would share our recent Sunsplash experience. Our 2014 trips to Sunsplash were the first we made where we rented cabanas. My wife and I agree that it makes a huge difference to have a reserved area the family can retreat to and recharge. The older two of our four kids would be done within two hours during previous trips, but now they wanted to stay all day with the cabana and loved having their own area. This is just my opinion, but I think the cabanas in the middle between the wave pool and lazy river are the best, followed by the well shaded ones in the southwest corner of the park (near the large picnic area). We ordered the larger ones because we had family and friends, but the smaller ones are good too. The cabana boy will take your order, NO FOOD LINES. Milk shakes and chili dogs for me.Next, we figured out how to manage two older kids and two younger ones at Sunsplash. There are big rides for the older ones, and plenty of fun areas for the little ones. My wife and I enjoyed the wave pool, lazy river, and wide slides on adventure island with our 3 year and 9 mo old, floating together. It was quite relaxing and very fun. We would take regular breaks and trade rides off with the older two. Neither my wife orI wanted to break away on our own... we came committed to giving the kids a good time.Best of the large rides are the master blaster and storm rider. They dump you into the lazy river and give you a ride back to the start. The single rider mat slides are fun also. Lines are not horribly long but I would suggest coming early to get tickets. I felt like the park is taken care of. I saw a lot of maintenance staff and landscapers working, and spotted the super regularly sampling the water with some gadget stick thingy. The lifeguards were all scanning the river in the same way, looks like they were well trained. You can't compare this water park to something like the one at Holiday World, but bottom line is we had a blast and will probably do season tickets next year.

It gets very busy. That have done a great job keeping up on the mini golf area. The grand kids loved it. The arcade is average. We did not drive the cars I heard it's pretty good above average. The water slides are just ok.

It is fun and family safe. My 12 year old daughter and her friend go all the time, they don't even need supervision. Lifeguards are all over, and it is great on a hot day.
