Who knew? What a terrific place to spend the day. Amazing exhibits and TAKE THE TROLLY RIDE!!! It goes way out into the rolling open plains that surround Suisun and will transport you back in time.

Came here twice in August 2014, to ride a portion of the old Sacramento Northern and check out the collection (second visit was part of the Western Pacific RR/Feather River Rail Society Historical dept convention). There is a small collection of freight equipment along the track that I also wanted to see. Managed to do it from the street car and then walked back to get some more photos...encountered a few too many buzzing 'friends' so cut that short. On the second visit we got to check out some of the collection not open to the public, which was very much appreciated.Well worth the drive from Fairfield (where I was staying) and the $10 admission fee (which includes a ride on a streetcar). There is a gift shop and a refreshment room on site as well.

Unique museum for basically electric city trains. The museum has rides that are included in the price.

We found that the great grandsons loved it. Ages 4-7. The girls not so much. Lots to look at. I think we great grandparents liked it best!

We came upon the Western California Train Museum by accident. It's right next to a wind turbine farm. It's a great museum with facts about electric train use in this area of CA. Then there's a 45 min electric train ride that takes you on the original tracks. Great way to spend a couple hours! Highly recommend.
