We didn't get to stay here due to our schedule but drove by and took photos. Cute memory stop! About 14/15 "tents" on site. Cool old cars and a pool. Peeked inside a room while cleaning-small but quaint!

Fantastic slice of Americana on R66 in San Bernadino. The concrete wigwams have been modernised and offer a high standard of accomodation, only slightly hampered by the weird shape of the wigwams! Decent TV and wi-fi, fridge and AC.

After an exhausting and hot day traveling from the Grand Canyon via Rt. 66, I received a phone call midway through the desert from Kumar, the owner, asking what time we expected to arrive because he was planning fireworks and s'mores. When we arrived later that evening, he set up a bonfire, s'mores and fireworks for the 4th of July along with the other hotel guests. It was so much fun for kids (and adults). Owner and his family sat around the fire with us. My 7 year old son and 2 nieces (10 & 12) thought it was the coolest place! Next morning, the kids enjoyed the pool before we had to hit the road. The motel is really clean and the property is well maintained. Such a pleasure. I am so glad we booked this. It was a perfect ending to our Rt. 66 trip. One of the best places I've stayed. A taste of Americana - they way it used to be. No corporate hotel drones here:o)

Retro cool is in full display at the Wigwam. This property is lovingly taken care of from a very clean room, pool and stocked fire pit. The owner offered s'more to us! This is a perfect fun stay for kids, parents and young at heart!

Really enjoyed our one night stay over, here. Really nicely kept and still has a lot of original features, like the original tiles in the bathroom of our Wigwam (17)Loved the collection of decomposing vehicles in the back of the property. Check in was a breeze and our Wigwam was nice and clean. Carpet looked new and the bed and couch were insanely comfortable. Seem to be plenty of restaurants close by, and Downtown Rialto was nice, too. Wish I had got to meet Kumar (the owner) as he is a bit if a legend, but never mind. Well done, Wigwam Motel.

This is such a cute, classic Route 66 stop. My husband and I stayed there before and loved it so we thought we would share the experience with our son. He was not as excited. I love the cute little pool area, just a classic Route 66 stop!

While on a day trip to San Bernadino, we sought out the infamous Wigwam motel. The motel was the inspiration for the motel in the Disney animated movie "Cars". Located on historic Route 66, the motel is easy to find. They have a small gift shop with Route 66 merchandise available. It's neat that this road side attraction, opened in 1949, is still in business today. The wigwam rooms go for a reasonable rate, and give you the opportunity to say "I slept in a wigwam".It you're a Route 66 fan, or just a fan for out of the ordinary places, drop by the Wigwam motel for a visit or a stay.

This is the only place I stay when visiting the Inland Empire. The best part is being able to park next to your room so no door dings in the parking lot. Unlike a traditional motel you don't have a problem with noisey guest as no walls are shared. The owners are super cool and have made this gem shine again.

A Route 66 classic! This place is so cute! The wigwams are clean and so much bigger than I thought it would be. The beds were comfy. And the staff is great. If you drive Route 66, or if you have a little one that likes the Cars movie you have to stay here!! We loved this place!!

"Customer Service" is not known at the Wigwam Motel in Rialto. Instead of behind accommodating, they've made a large group of guest run the other way. What a disappointment!! They don't deserve anyone's business at this point. Not worth the money.. think twice before you book.

There were a number of Wigwam motel complexes in the USA but I believe only two remain and they are both on Route 66. The one situated in Rialto CA is the largest and has had a big face lift with immaculate lawns and freshly painted wigwams. There is no doubt that the owners have put in a lot of work restoring the location but unfortunately for me it leaves it a little sterile and lacking the authenticity of the other Wigwam Motel in Holbrook AZ. If you are just planning to visit and photograph then you may not receive a welcome as the owner will expect a visit to his shop. I found him a little hostile on my last visit and resentful that we only wanted to photograph the wigwams. Members of my party did visit his shop but found nothing they wished to purchase and this was not well received. Whilst understanding that this is a commercial venture, as are loads of locations along Route 66, this was the most disappointing reception we had on our journey along the complete length of Route 66 where we were welcomed what ever the reason is for our visit. Whilst one understands that the owner has to make a living he also has to expect the Route 66 travellers to stop by just to look after all it is listed as a "Route 66 Attraction". In my opinion the Wigwam Motel in Holbrook is the best to photograph as there are a lot of authentic American classic cars on site. Whilst it is perhaps not a chic as Rialto if you judge it by its welcome it wins hands down.

Had a very comfortable and hospitable stay at the Wigwam this week. Kumar, the manager, is a young guy with an obvious love for the Wigwam motel and for Route 66. It was really fun discussing the various people and places we shared in common--it's obvious that Kumar knows them quite well! So, to the next generation that will keep the route alive and well for our sons and daughters to visit in the future!

We have stayed at the Wigwam Motel several times now. Each and every time has been great. My wife and I always bring our kids and we love the place. The rooms are nice sized and the overall condition of the place is excellent, very clean and comfortable. The staff is super nice and make you feel like a family member. I highly recommend this motor court. We travel Route 66 often and have a blast. Help keep a real 66icon alive! We will definitely stay again. Lots to see in the area around, much to do!

My son LOVES this place. It is roomy, the staff is friendly and every time we drive by he asks if he can stay there again. He always calls it the Cozy Cone Motel just like the one in "Cars"/
