I love Zip Lining, it is one of my most favorites sports. My guy & I were traveling along the PCH & decided to extend our stay in Santa Cruz to do the Zip line. It was January and the weather was great. The staff was very professional, entertaining, & knowledgable. It was lots of fun to be standing among the tops of the redwoods and learning about the different types of redwoods. I would highly recommend this zip line for newbies, it's easy, short and just enough thrill. I do think this was a bit pricey considering the other zip lines I've done where the price was the same but the line was much longer & more scenic. In comparison, I would say this is a baby zip line. CON ~ I asked if they took pictures or did I need to bring a camera. They said they did but the pictures were not available at the end of the tour ;( BUMMER! Take your camera!!

We had a great time on this zip lining tour. We were first timers and were very pleased with all aspects of the tour. This place is located in the Santa Cruz Redwoods forest in a pretty scenic location and is easy to get to. The tour guides were both very friendly and helpful and thoroughly professional. They were able to interact with different types of people - couples, teenagers, old people in our group and made sure everyone had fun. They paid a lot of attention to our safety and gave us lot of interesting information regarding the redwood trees as well. The zip lines felt pretty safe and were very exciting too. On the whole, this was a great experience for us and we highly recommend this place.

I am originally from the area, have explored those woods for years when I was young, but this was a whole different view and great fun. Will come again, next time with more friends. The guides are lively and knowledgeable. When you are finished, of course you have Santa Cruz near by for a nice evening or camping in the redwoods in Henry Cowell or Big Basin.

The SO chose this as our outing for her 50th birthday, particularly since we have zipped in several other parts of the USA (but none overseas). We had a good time with this very uniqie experience. You've no doubt seen or heard of zip-lining through the rainforest in Central Am. But this is zipping in native US, redwood forest. Its a very fun and unique experience not far from major population centers and tourist attractions. Its a great setting and a pretty drive to reach the Adventure Tour Office. Make sure your enjoy the bucolic towns and the scenery just getting there. Once there you're processed quickly, and suit up fairly quick. I will say that the staff could be a bit more proactive about the communication of next steps in the process, pointing you to restrooms after you turn in your forms etc. Then an intro session, and off to your first zip platform. The overall experience is fun and the scenery is only available here as far as I know. While the guides kept it fun, I'm gonna give them 3 stars for one of them having never zipped anywhere else. You need to go have that experience to guide well, IMHO.There are longer lines, there are more exciting lines, but this one was unique, and for me that makes it worth trying if you are looking to fill some time around the Santa Cruz, Capitola, Felton, Boulder Creek, San Jose areas. I'd say if you're in San Francisco proper this is a bit too far out of your way to make it worth it. But start early and finish with wine tasting the in area's most underrated region, and it 'll a great day-outing.I've looked at the other reviews and I will agree that the lines are not the longest, and the tour could move a touch faster. But I will disagree that the guides purposely slowed things down (yes, inane facts were told, bur because the group a head was lagging) and that the safety measures caused any of the wait time. Frankly, I found nothing intrusive about the safety measures they used give that all platforms are 40 - 100 feet in the air. Other zips I have been on all have launch platforms a few feet off the ground, these are all in the air. I'm ok with the safety measures they took for my own benefit.

We did not book a reservation ahead of time because I wasn't sure my husband would actually go through with the zip line event. However, after speaking with a very nice young lady at the check-in desk, he decided to proceed and we were lucky to get on the next scheduled tour. Our guides, Jaime and Adam, were outstanding. They were extremely knowledgeable about redwoods in general, zip lining in particular, and both had a fabulous sense of humor. They made everyone feel at ease and safe. They constantly reassured us and praised our progress, all the while creating a remarkably fun and enjoyable atmosphere. It is very true that the guides can make or break the experience, and ours were totally awesome. Our group of 7 meshed well and that helped make the day super pleasant also. For once, my husband and I weren't the oldest people as there was a woman in our group celebrating her 80th birthday. One of her daughters had already done the Mount Hermon zip line experience, and it was nice to know that she thought so highly of it to make a return trip. The zip lines themselves were perfect for beginners like my husband and myself. The beauty of the forest left us speechless. The thrill of the zip lines is impossible to describe. We had such an incredible time and I would absolutely recommend this to everyone visiting the Santa Cruz/Felton area.

First time zip lining - we felt very comfortable with the whole tour. The guides were great, very knowledgeable and fun. We did six lines plus two bridges. I was amazed that I could do this but the guides really made you feel secure. I would not hesitate to go back - an amazing experience.

Alex and Cameron were great. I went alone and was merged into a group. I had fun even though I didn't know anyone. Definitely go again soon.

We had a wonderful time zip lining with Redwood Canopy! We brought our family of four down for our son's 13th birthday. The guides were great (we had Leslie and Alex) -- they were very professional and knew alot about the redwoods. The zip lines themselves are fun, but the most amazing thing is being 130 feet up in the redwoods for 2 hours -- it's a view that very few people ever get. We would definitely recommend this, both to adrenaline junkies and nature lovers. Definitely get the GoPro camera rental, it's not that expensive and you'll love watching the videos over and over again.

This was a relaxed version of zip-lining compared to another zip-lining adventure we have done, but it was still fun. The redwood forest setting is beautiful. There were 6 zip lines ranging from 150-450 feet long. The guides (Robert & Scott) were safety-oriented, enthusiastic about the tour, helpful, nice, and knowledgeable about the redwood forest. The gear seemed to be of good quality. I also liked how the zipline cables and platforms were set-up to be as minimally harmful to the trees as possible. The Mt. Hermon camp center is huge and looks very well-maintained.

We booked this as an activity with our teen nephew and everyone had a great time. Our guides were very competent and patient with us older adventurers (65 and 72.) They were full of good information about the area and trees. The location in a redwood forest is spectacular and the zips were exciting. Can recommend this as a great family adventure in the Santa Cruz area!

This was a great experience. Something different to try while in the area.Very well organised and professional. This is not something for those afraid of heights but for those who like adventure then a fun time. The guides were very good and engaging and made the experience even more pleasurable. I would highly recommend this.Don't forget to book as places are limited and it fills up fast.

Our guides for the Redwood Canopy Tour (Steven and Trevor) were absolutely awesome. They stressed safety at every step of the tour, but did it in a way that all ages could relate to and, above all, made it FUN. From introducing us to to the redwoods to photobombing us they kept everyone laughing and learning and made the tour worth so much more. Once again guys, THANK YOU for such an awesome day.

We were a family of 3 ( couple in our 60's & daughter in her 30's). This was our second time zip lining & we were very happy with our experience. Great guides & beautiful scenery. Fear of heights could be only issue- but we truly enjoyed our experience!!
