Another stop on our winery tour that didn't disappoint. I've been to the tasting room in downtown Los Olivos several times, and while the wines are good, it's always felt a bit sterile to me. Nevertheless, it's a great stop along the way if you happen to be in the area. But, if you are, it's worth the effort to travel just a bit further and check out the new location. It is beautiful! The wines are delicious and the chocolate pairing was indescribable!! (Truffle filling??? My goodness..) The 2013 Tous les Jours Syrah was Delicious, as was the 2012 Esperance Red Blend. Great, friendly staff and an overall wonderful time.

Andrew Murray's winery on Zaca Station Road was a new stop for us on our regular trips to Santa Barbara wine country. We spent a lovely January afternoon drinking good wine and enjoying the beautiful view. Andrew Murray is definitely one of the best winemakers in the area.

Located in Los Olivos in the heart of town. The tasting room is fairly small with a small bar that probably 8 to 10 people could squeeze up to. The tasting consisted of two whites and two reds. I am not big on white wine, but they were good. I especially liked the Grenache and the Syrah and if you like Rhone varietals I definitely recommend stopping in for a tasting. The tasting probably won't take more than 20 to 30 minutes. Open from 11:00am to 5:00pm and there is a fee of $10 for the wine flight/tasting.

When we last visited the Central Coast, the only Andrew Murray tasting room was in Los Olivos. But now they have opened a bright new facility on Zaca Station Road, and it is really very nice.

Of the wineries I visited on Foxen Canyon Road, I found Andre Murray to have the wines I enjoyed the most. I had a wonderful Syrah, as well as two blends that I never tasted before but were very good. The wines were memorable and at a good price point. We were able to get a 2 for 1 Tasting Invitation. They also have a second location in Los Olivos.

Young wine maker has a gift for quality wine at a reasonable price point. Los Olivos is a quaint town to visit for wine tasting,

After almost a decade as a customer of Curtis Winery....and getting/earning VIP treatment....I must say I was VERY skeptical on the takeover...and training myself and staff to accomodate me!After a few emails between Kristen and Andrew Murray....they REASSURED me that if given the opportunity...they would NOT let me down!!! Sooooo.....I had to give them the opportunities....andthey have COMPLETELY delivered!!!!I am now (in my legendary perspective....haha) a VIP and have treated as such!!! Spencer, Celicia, Shannon, and a few others have given me XLNT service...and now....I've made new friends!!! Nice to be welcomed and acknowledged upon arrival.....Secondly, do NOT discount satellite tasting room in Los Olivos! Jennifer is aboard the VIP servicetrain and just visited with her yesterday.....what a hoot!!!!

Came here in search of our favorite wine, Mourvedre. They did have a Mourvedre and yes it was good. Actually, the wines were all good. Maybe not the best but they were good for sure. Not many places make a Mourvedre so that is a big plus for me. The service was fine as well. What makes me drop them to three stars is the ambiance. The tasting room is just plain blah. It is boring, dull and not very fun. In a great area with tons of options and amazing wine a tasting room can set you apart. Many others have a great fell, welcoming and fun. AM needs to step their tasting room location game up!

Andrew Murray has been making wine for 2 decades, so he has great experience making delicious wines. The rosé was light and not too sweet, perfect for sipping on the patio. The mouvedre was dark and rich, suitable to pair with a steak dinner. This was a most unusual tasting room, spare and classy, with dark wood accents to the white walls, and a leather strip 'shag' rug. The grounds were as tranquil and comfortable as inside.

We were Curtis wine club members and went to see the changes when AMV took over. We were impressed not only by the wine but also by the facelift on the tasting room and the knowledgeable and friendly staff. We LOVED Curtis and are in strong like with AM!!

As per my prior review, we love this winery - Andrew is a skilled winemaker who produces a wonderful array of single-vineyard syrahs, each highly distinctive (among other excellent wines). Our only disappointment when we took friends last weekend is that some of our favorites were no longer available - he makes small batches of well-crafted wines. We got a bottle each of his 2010 McGinley Vineyard and Stolpman Vineyard syrahs. The McGinley will age well over time, and already has profound fruit. Fruit, floral, oak, and spice are all present. This is an elegant wine. The Stolpman is a party of black cherry, white pepper, and other spice. (We may keep this one back a year or two also.)Of his other current wines, one standout is the 2010 Terra Bella Vineyard Grenache, a superior example of a single-varietal Grenache. We found it strong in all respects. - Our least favorite is the 2010 Terra Bella Vineyards Syrah (alcohol and acids too high).

Need more help! Disappointing, as they couldn't provided what's advertised. Isn't this Bait and Switch?

The blends they had were fabulous. They blended just about everything they can grow themselves including melbec. I bought a few bottles, will be enjoying them soon. The lady who served was very friendly and educated my wife and I about all their wines. it was worth driving from Santa barbara to Los Olivos.

I stopped in at the Andrew Murray tasting room on a busy, July Monday. It was nice to get the place to myself for a few minutes to discuss the wines I was drinking there. While the tasting room is about the total opposite of my favorites, which are more like barns (Alma Rosa, Foxen) with an outdoorsy feel, the air-conditioning was welcomed on a hot summer day in the valley. They have 2 tasting choices, 5 or 8 wines for $10 or $15. I did the 8 wines, but really wouldn't recommend it, as my favorite wines were all in the cheaper tasting. The other reds were good, but seemed to need some time. What I liked was that they had 2 white blends, which I can't really remember seeing anywhere in SB. The RGB and the Eleven Unplugged were nice and a must on any hot day. I also liked the Eleven Red, which is a Cab Sauv/ Cab Franc blend. The Elevens are influenced by Nigel's amps in the movie Spinal Tap.But a word of warning, all 8 wines they were featuring are limited supply. They did have a bottle of their larger production Syrah for comparison, but you have to ask.

Andrew Murray 2901 Grand Ave Ste A. We brought a 2-4-1 coupon from the internet. The first thing you will notice when entering this tasting room is the scented candles. Small tasting room. If you are like me, that will linger thru your wine tasting and degrade the experience. The crew there could use a bit of refresher on wines and service. The place in general could benefit from a consultant to help them “get in shape”. A bit of pressure to get out, sans purchase. Why bother?
