It is a beautiful campus in the most bicycle friendly city in America. People are cordial and friendly, with a great appreciation of the environment.

Great college town with a lot of nature. Kids loved chasing squirrels around. Be aware of the bike riders.

Largest by acreage---By far!Largest by number of undergraduate students---Yes. We passed UCLA a couple of years ago.The only Vet School in the system.LOTS of trees, grass, open space. Occasional sculpture. A new museum under construction. What's not to like?Parking costs $9. Everything else is free.

I love walking or biking through campus. There are wide pathways connecting the buildings. Tall, leafy trees to block the sun on hot days and egg sculptures throughout. Make sure you wear a helmet if you're biking. Some of the students are not good bikers! (especially in the fall when the freshmen arrive).

A nice, big campus, very green, clean, modern and organized with a relaxed atmosphere and many bicycles parked everywhere. Parking it's not permitted in many areas of the campus so visitors are requested to drop the car at one of the parking garages. Be ready for a nice walk (comfortable shoes are reccomended) or get a bus in the campus. I really enjoyed my time at the Law School, which is well organized and with very welcoming teachers and staff.

Great for kids & adults alike. There is a living zoo with spiders & insect species you've never seen. Staff is delightful.

This is a big campus, maybe the biggest UC campus there is. There is hardly any parking on campus, so walking, bicycling or taking the bus are the usual forms of transportation. It is clean and well maintained. A dorm had a broken door lock and the maintenance department fixed it the same day.

Very impressive medical facility. Tour was informative and fun. The building architecture is modern and outside areas conducive to staying outside. Lots of trees and sitting area.

The school makes up the Davis community, easy access from the main highway. Not sure what else to do around the immediate area other than visiting the Downtown area just a few short blocks away. Like knowing there's an easy commute to the school by plane, train or automobile. Also, easy access to travel to Sacramento or UC Berkley. The campus is widespread so a bike would probably be a safe bet to have. 24 hr reading room which is bonus for study purposes. Wasn't able to see the dorms due to a time crunch and driving back to L.A.-wish this tour started earlier than 1:30p. Overall, a 2015 school contender.

I'm a bit prejudiced, since I got my PhD here and completed my professional career here, but I have seen a lot of other universities and colleges nationally and internationally, and know UCD for its quality, uniqueness and outstanding reputation for so many facets--agricultural, veterinary, medical, biotechnical, engineering, cultural and ambiance!

The campus is clean and green. Lots of trees and flowers, squirrels and birds are everywhere. They say, this is a city of bikes. This is true, they all, students and professors, youngsters and older people bike. There are many sports facilities there, and various games/competitions are almost every day. In addition, they have different cultural events there every day.

I love the UC Davis campus. While there be sure to talk a walk along the arboretum. There you will find a wide variety of plants and wild life. If you have time bring along a picnic lunch, it is very relaxing there. The thing that amazed me the most was the sea of bicycles everywhere. I live in a college town and there isn't half the bicycles that they have there. And always have a bottle of water with you. It can get pretty warm.

The campus itself is lovely....but dont leave before you stroll ( or cycle in Davis style) through the Arboretum....it is relaxing and peaceful....pack a picnic and enjoy!

I love the campus at UC Davis. The architecture is eclectic and some of it rather ugly. However, it is spacious and in the future the whole campus will be an arboretum. The new Mondavi Food and Wine institute is stunning, as is the Mondavi Center for cultural activities. There are many buildings with art displays and soon we will have a new art museum. Students are fun (I am an old timer) and most are really interested in receiving an education. There are animal barns right on campus and in the past I have taken horseback riding at the Equestrian Center. One cannot drive on campus so the campus and town are full of bicycles. The main library is excellent, and there are many other libraries specializing in different fields of study. The arboretum, while not spectacular, is a great place to walk and ties the town with the campus. I am on campus often for various activities from free or almost free movies to concerts to walking and seeing various art installations. I love the atmosphere.
