If you haven't had Knee Deep beer yet and you enjoy beer you are missing out! GOOD STUFF! If you like IPA's Simtra is a must although everything is good. They often have a food truck outside to get food as well. Dogs and kids are welcome at the brewery so it is a relaxed atmosphere. Anyways get up to Auburn and check this place out if you haven't already. =D

I wish I had the capacity to sample more of their beer, ales, porters and stouts! Each of the two I quaffed and two more that I tasted were delightful. The atmosphere is fun -- a large warehouse area with access to the brewery filled with picnic tables and lots of happy people. They host a food cart in the parking lot -- the one we sampled had a large variety of hot dogs. Hot dogs?! Yes, tasty with a wide variety from vegan, organic to tri-tip!We were in a hoppy mood and tasted the Tanilla before grabbing a pint of the Imperial Tanilla... wait, I'm supposed to review the establishment, not the beers! We'll just leave it at, the wooden benches are hard, the space is open and industrial and the beer means you probably won't notice any of it once you get started drinking.

Located just outside Auburn is a really cool brewery. You practically sit down beside all the brewing equipment as you sample there impressive beer. No food available inside but a vendor shows up around five outside with various items. Prices are good for the samples or have a pint or fill a growler. You can even play a game of corn hole! Very relaxed and friendly

NOTE: Located in Auburn, California!! Not Alabama.Knee Deep Brewing Co. is a first-rate addition to the Sierra foothills. We had just finished hiking the nearby Auburn State Recreation Area (http://bit.ly/1optfK9) and were parched for brew, so we decided to stop in. As we pulled into the industrial park adjacent to the Auburn airport, we wondered why we drove so far off the freeway just to sample some beer. Take heart loyal brew fans! Knee Deep didn't become a local fee-nom by accident. As we entered, hearing the crowd and noting the festive atmosphere, we thought, ?are they closed for a private party? Nope, people are having lots of fun here. And the brews! The requisite chalkboard advertised ten on hand, plus two more recent additions underneath. This brewery will immediately appeal to fans of the left-coast IPA style, as we counted an astonishing nine versions of IPA, DIPA, TIPA and even 4xIPA (or is that QIPA?), in addition to a Belgian-style IPA. ABVs range from 5.5% to over 12%, and pours, generally 12oz, are a flat $4.50. Growler refill prices $11 to $22 indicate that the local market's thirst for Knee Deep is nowhere near tapped out (ouch).Board games and cornhole will keep ya busy while you're sipping your way to beervana at one of the indoor picnic tables. Don't miss all the souvenir T-shirts, glassware, etc. Your boyfriend will surely admire the 50-caliber bullet fashioned into a beer opener that will complement any man cave decor. It's a great place for you, your loved ones (did I just say that) and all the weird friends you're about to make. Dogs allowed. Allow a couple hours so you can enjoy all the fun!The roundup:Food - 4 - Today's food truck served Neapolitan pizzas.Service - 5 - They're friendly & attentive, and sample pours are freely given!Value - 3 - $4.50 for a 12-oz pour = $6 pints. Expensive, but given the experience, worth it.Setting - 4 - About as good as a warehouse can get.Date worthy - 5 - Bring your friends too! Dog friendly - Yup, they're stars here!

Great beer served right there n the brewery. Usually there is a food truck parked just outside the front door, so you can get a bratwurst or a pizza and then get your beer.

Ooooh yeah, hop heads unite! I'm a huge Knee Deep beer lover and I have frequented the brewery since they opened in late September. It is fun to watch it transform and it's still one of my favorite places with a fun atmosphere. They tap a cask every Thursday and the prices are incredible. Plenty of games are available for you to enjoy while you savor the hops in every beer (single , double , triple , and more)! Not a hop fan? You must try the Imperial Tanilla...mmmmmm!

This was the second stop on our two stop brewery day trip. My buddies and I arrived here about two o'clock. It took us at least a half hour to find the place. The sign for the business is around back of the brewery on a different street than its address. The door had a sign taped on it that said Knee Deep Brewing Entrance. This was a new location for them after having moved from Lincoln, CA so I guess they can be forgiven for not having the proper signage. We finally parked and went around to the side of the building where the entrance was and made our way inside. We were kind of surprised because we were in the actual brewery. There were tanks, pallets of hops, malts and everything else you would expect to see in a brewery. And the whole place was exceptionally clean, which is the way a brewery should be.We made our way past some wooden picnic tables and a souvenir kiosk and arrived at the tap room which was actually just a short wood bar. Several of the tables had people sitting at them drinking draft beers. A couple of people were at the bar ordering from the two attendants. When it was our turn we asked the servers a little about the beer and they responded knowledgeably. We decided on a sampler which included four large portions of beer, perhaps five or six ounces each. We took our samplers back to one of the wooden tables and sat down. There was a small menu on the table with about a half a dozen items such as tacos. We had just eaten so it didn't take up too much of our attention. But we could have eaten if we wanted to.While consuming our drinks I looked around at the tanks, the people enjoying themselves drinking beer and talking. I noticed a couple of tables where people were playing cards or dice and then noticed a stack of games which anyone could borrow and play for there amusement while they were there. I also noticed several people were playing a bean bag toss just the other side of a short fence. After consuming our samplers which were generally delicious, I bought a beer to take home and a T-shirt. We spent about an hour there but could have spent more. The bartenders were very friendly and happily answered our question. We could have spent a lot more time just meandering around looking at things. You would be able to get fairly close to the tanks so you could see them well. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
