river trip - maria croon & czech boat

The cruise cost included a pick up at our respective hotels, which seemed a good start. The bus was late, the trip was chaotic and the driver took amazing risks. When the cruise left the wharf there were only 10 passengers. Dinner was a really abysmal effort. Cold chicken bits, tasteless salads, a couple of warm dishes that weren't heated adequately. We wondered if it was wise to eat but we were hungry. Dessert was a sad selection of pastries, and the coffee machine was broken. On a positive note none of us was ill afterwards. A German couple asked to leave the boat early because they were so disenchanted. There was no option for the to leave early but they refused to use the bus for the return trip to their hotel. There was, in fact, a crooner on Maria Croon, a young woman with a passable voice. We learned afterwards that all the cruise boats are supposed to go up the canal to extend the scope of the landscape, however Maria Croon simply went out into the River and circled, and circled, and circled. Perhaps the skipper wasn't licensed to manage the canal and its lock. This cruise was unprofessional in every sense. Once it was dark the River and its buildings looked truly magnificent. Not even Maria Croon could detract from the beauty of the architecture framed in the night light and the full moon. This boat seems to be operated by City Tours Excursions, its website is info@rivertrip.cz. On a menu the signage was CZECH BOAT Maria Croon. We suggest you avoid all of the above! It was not representative of the warm hospitality we experienced in three weeks in the beautiful Czech Republic.

In unserem Reisepaket war eine 1h Schifffart mit der Maria Coon & Czech Boat inkludiert. Aufgrund der schlechten Bewertungen waren wir skeptisch was uns erwartet. Der Boot war nicht leicht zu finden, da 3 Boote hintereinander am Kai liegen und der Name des letzten Bootes schwer zu lesen war. Wir waren wie bestellt ca 15 min eher da und die einzigen Gäste. Die Crew hat trotzdem die Tour mit uns gemacht, was uns ehrlich gesagt überraschte. Wir führen lange u mdie Karsbrücke herum... länger als andere Sightseeingschiffe. Daher alles super und ein Danke schön!

De rivercruise met diner op de Maria Croon is niet aan te raden.Wij hadden gereserveerd via een tour operator in ons hotel. Dit was inclusief een retour met de bus. Achteraf ging het om een afstand die was te lopen. De chauffeur was erg kortaf en gehaast; het was erg druk in de stad.Via een ander schip gingen we de Maria Croon op. In de eerste instantie leken we op een gezellige en warme boot terecht te komen, maar toen we overstapten kwamen we, een handje vol passagiers, in een kale en onverwarmde zitruimte terecht.De bediening was vriendelijk en dat was ook het enige positieve aan deze trip.Het eten, een warm en koud buffet, was van zeer slechte kwaliteit. Het was uitgedroogd, lauw of koud en alleen de kaas en salade vonden wij eetbaar.Een persoon in ons gezelschap trof zelfs een lange haar aan in haar vleesgerecht.Tot overmaat van ramp was het toilet niet schoon en de handdoeken niet fris.De live muziek stelde niet zoveel voor, een accordion, maar dat hadden we ook wel een beetje verwacht. Praag by night is mooi, we konden op het (niet overdekte)buitendek fotos nemen.Helaas hebben we van de 3 uur durende 'cruise' wel 1 uur stil gelegen in de sluizen.Verder is er een flink prijsverschil met boeken via de touroperator en ter plekke bij de kade. We hebben toen de reisorganisatie gebeld en wat korting gekregen, deze trip is namelijk veel te duur voor hetgene wat je ervoor krijgt. Je moet wel op je schreden gaan staan!Wij zullen nog een klachtenbrief gaan sturen, wel hebben we de slechte hygiene gemeld bij de bediening en kregen toen korting op de drankjes.
