We had a great time riding the stage coach. Before the ride the couple who owns and runs it will give you a history of how people traveled back then and right after you will feel it. What an experience, specially when the horses are running the fastest. Located between where you ride the train and the working mine. They also have pictures you can buy after the ride. Owners are very friendly also.

For the seekers of unusual experiences, we enthusiastically recommend TnT's authentic stage coach ride. To begin with, the dry humor of the owner and stage coach driver was so spot-on that Seinfeld has nothing on him. My cheeks burned from smiling so much! On top of this, his wife filled us in on the history, complete w/ reference to Twain's "Roughing It" which we both had read in preparation for taking this trip. And then there was the actual stagecoach ride! For a small sum, you get to experience the thrill of being rattled and bounced around as true as the riders of the 1800's did. It was better than any amusement ride that either of us have ever taken and we both have experienced many of them... You see, the ride provided a glimpse into the reality of yesteryear - imagine having the same sensations as Twain and the other stage travelers. Nothing can beat that!! On top of all this, highly professional, picturesque souvenir photographs of the ride were available for purchase. We have shared these photos and bragged about the incredible ride to all of our friends. Thanks again, TnT!!

If you’ve taken the time to drive out into the countryside for a visit to Virginia City, you probably have a modicum of curiosity or interest in history. With the decline of silver mining, history is about all they have left in Virginia City, mostly old buildings containing new tourist attractions and a few museums. And then there’s TnT Stage Lines: also something of a museum, akin to science museums that give kids hands-on experiences, except you feel this history where it counts – the seat of your pants.Gary, the owner of TnT is the driver, a rugged character, sunburned and wind-swept, sporting a long scraggly moustache and looking like he just arrived from 1860. Take a minute to chat with him if you get a chance, he’s a really nice guy. You get a brief introduction to stagecoaches before the ride and then you’re off, bouncing around inside an authentic stagecoach for a short dusty ride around the property. It was great! The ride is short, less than five minutes. Honestly, I didn’t need any more than that for the experience. Amazing to think about people paying a fortune (over $7,000 in today’s dollars) for 2,500 miles of this punishment on the trip from Missouri to Nevada. For $12 you can buy a drink at an upscale bar in Vegas, or you can ride perhaps the last operating stagecoach in the country, an option that might vanish completely when Gary hangs up his spurs. Which is more memorable?

Loved, loved it, loved it! Too much fun, still smiling and laughing about it......a must do. Didn't choose the shotgun ride......dumb! Not necessary for fun but......that would have been even better....if that's even possible.

I rode shotgun and it was a Blast. Plus you can get the pictures of the entire ride after. So much fun I want to ride again but inside unfortunately my crew doesn't want to go twice.

The best experience ever! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ride was so much fun and something we will never forget. I would highly recommend this. One of the few things in the US you can do without all the government regulations! Just a good down to earth, full speed, no helmet required, fast ride. I will do it again next time I visit.

Ride was fast and furious, but the duration of the ride was way too short. The attitude of the personnel was " just give me your money and let's get this overwith. When questions were asked, short and curt answers were given but I felt guilty for disturbing them. Not the experience I hoped for, Save you money.

The Stagecoach Ride is SO WORTH IT! You have no idea! I experienced a history and literature lesson, comedy routine and roller-coaster ride all rolled into one. The driver is absolutely hilarious, knowledgeable and kind. He really made the trip worthwhile. The assistants are also incredibly well-versed in history and made Mark Twain’s book, “Roughing It” come to life. Riding on the stagecoach was the highlight of my trip to Virginia City. Six year-olds to seventy year-olds will enjoy this! How could you not ride the last stagecoach in the world that reaches full speed, “Like the Indians are chasing us”?In response to the terrible review, the speed and distance traveled are stated by the staff before the coach ride. (Don’t listen to the Visitors' Center. Use your ears and eyes). I’m glad you enjoyed Virginia City overall. :)

just returned from a great trip to the Reno/Tahoe area. We were in Virginia City for Labor Day and enjoyed the parade & festivities. The only damper was the stagecoach ride, which the visitor center said was for 15-20 minutes, cost of $11. We were excited about it and bought our tickets at the center. The stagecoach was authentic with a team of 4 horses, etc. I videod the whole ride and it lasted 2 minutes and 43 seconds. I strongly recommend not wasting your money. Luckily, this was the only negative on an otherwise great week in the area.

We went based on the reviews thinking it sounded "cool". Cool doesn't even touch it. We were a party of 9 people aged from 6 to 66 years old and every one of us laughed and yelled the entire way. Gary and his wife seem like the real deal and go out of their way to make it a little bit informative and educational and a whole lot of fun. A unique and worthwhile way to spend a part of your trip. The price is completely reasonable in my opinion for a family adventure!

My wife and I and our best friends are all NO LONGER STAGE COACH VIRGINS. What a treat! I have ridden horses, backboards and chuck wagons, there is no comparison to bouncing along at up to 28 mph powered only by the thundering hooves of four horses. This is a experience you cannot value with money.
