Full of odd memorabilia from the days as a functioning courthouse. A lot of effort went into placing mannequins in rooms to give it a lived--in feel. You have to see them for yourself to appreciate the weirdness of it. The museum does really afford an interesting history of the region and is well worth the effort of visiting when in Pioche. Unexpectedly fun.

Open for tours on most days and is free or you can make a donation. See how it was in the old west and be sure to check out the jail.

Heading through all the departments in one large building was amazing. Was told not to touch if it was marked, but to feel free if anything wasn't marked - not normal for a museum...but actually kept me from touching anything. The staff is super friendly & loves to have visitors & questions.

The Million Dollar Courthouse was great to look around! It is fully restored and all the rooms are labeled of whose office it was.. Sheriff, Recorder, Attorney and of course the courtroom. The jail is connected to the courtroom. We were able to walk around and look a a great collection of neat artifacts. No cost, they only ask for a donation!
