I and my family had a wonderful time looking at the exhibits. We go back every chance we get when we go back to visit family. This museum was recommend by them and the admission was reasonable.

Really like this museum - nice collection of northwest artists, good context provided on wall cards, excellent special installations. Well worth checking out. Don't begrudge the modest entrance fee, it's part of a lovely small college, take a walk and look around the quad, the Mill Stream, and the Star Trees.

The Hallie Ford Museum is not huge, but definitely worth an hour or two experiencing the art displays. They rotate special exhibitions, plus they have their own collection - I was pretty blown away at the art that is housed in a wonderful building, well lit, bright, with very pleasant landscaping. I recommend this Museum highly - it is invigorating, not stuffy and boring, offering numerous collections. There is a small gift shop that has interesting items, jewelry, and materials on the current displays. I will be attending again in November for a special Northwest Art Exhibition - you can get in free if you bring cans of dog or cat food for one of their fundraisers for the local humane society. They offer a discount for AAA members as well. The Museum is very close to restaurants, and across the street from a lovely park. Enjoy!

We went on senior day, so thought we would take in the museum. We have lived in this town for 30 years and never went. My goodness, what a wonderful experience. The displays were wonderful, interesting, interactive for families, new discoveries for children, and generally very educational. We have recommended it to several of our friends

This museum's exhibits belie its small size. They provide outstanding temporary exhibits, plus a nice sampling of art from pre-history to the present. Their Native American art/basketry display rivals that of much larger museums. Many free lectures associated with the various exhibits. Part of nearby Willamette University, it is heavily used as a "teaching museum."

Although it is a small museum, the visiting "Near East" exhibit was amazing. The artifacts were so beautiful and the historic descriptions fascinating. We were so fortunate to have the opportunity to view this spectacular exhibit. Allow a minimum of an hour for your visit.

I'm not a fan of modern art. This place is full of it. They had a couple of exhibits of old pottery from the near east which was minimally interesting. There was an exhibit of ancient coins which was interesting. Otherwise, it was a snoozer.

This museum has it all, from an impressive Native American collection of basketry to ancient and modern works of art from local and international artists.

I went to the Art Museum and spent about an hour viewing the contents. It was a nice clean place and I liked the Oregon art. I thought they should include more paintings instead of so many photographs. It may be just me, but I am in the group of people who don't really consider photographs artistic.

This is definitely worth a visit. The museum is quite comfortable and has a variety of permanent collections, although small, the collections are excellent. There are also a number of exhibition halls that change regularly. I was there during the Family Holdings exhibition of nomadic material culture - weavings that displayed a brilliance of color and design.

The museum is small by most standards but it makes up with quality and a great variety of art. It is one of the best museums we have seen. It is amazing how the time flew while we were in the museum.
