With a setting that's among the best in Oregon combined with reasonably priced wines (excellent selection) combined with friendly and expert staff....this is an excellent place to relax, enjoy friends or take in one of the many events open to both wine club members and the public. Terrific on-site food is prepared by exceptional chefs. The fairly new tasting room is outstanding. What a find. The winery provides easy access from Portland, Salem and other Willamette Valley venues. These folks are marketing experts since this a high volume winery yet it seems like a boutique thanks to the friendly staff. One of the best in Oregon.

If you want to enjoy some Oregon wine without having to drive far from I-5 than this is a good option. We stopped at the Willamette Valley Vineyard while driving up to Portland. After entering through the large gates and winding on the driveway up the hill through some of the vineyards you arrive at the tasting room. It is a beautiful large space that was recently renovated and immaculate. There is a firepit center in the space with a kitchen along one side and large tasting bar on the other. The staff (Jacob) was wonderful and very helpful. He talked us through each flight that we got explaining the winery and the wine that we were drinking. As we had questions about the vintages he even deviated slightly from the flight to let us taste another option and understand some of the verticals for the same wine. The tasting fees are waived with a purchase of two bottles. There were a couple that stood out more than others and we now have added those bottles to our home collection. The Pinot Blanc was a nice change from what I was used to, but I really enjoyed the Elton Pinot Noir. The range of wines were good with some better than others. We planned to stop in for a taste, but after seeing the truffle (sliced Oregon white truffles) mac & cheese we sat down with an extra glass each of wine and enjoyed ourselves overlooking the beautiful view.

My wife and have belonged to the wine club, and own shares to this vineyard for some time. We saw them through a recent remodel that turned out fantastic. We have been there for many events, and the atmosphere, wine, and friendliness of the staff is wonderful. They have many volunteers working there, and we have come to know Ellie and Larry quite well. Recently, we were assisted by Bethany, Linda and Haley, and all three were very helpful. The entire staff is very knowledgeable about their wines, and make very good suggestions. During their remodel, they improved their kitchen. WOW!!! The food is always great, and the chefs are easily accessible to answer questions. The owner, Jim, lives n the property, and is always there to greet people, and answer questions.I am very glad we chose this winery to join, and participate in. We love to take friends and family there.Keep up the excellent work!!!!

We stopped in at the Willamette Valley Vineyards on our way into Portland for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and we were impressed. The tasting room rivals most found in Sonoma and Napa with its large windows, indoor fire pit, and menu. The views are simply stunning, even on a day that went from sun to rain to hail and back to sun. The tasting room staff is friendly and knowledgeable and didn't rush us through the tastings. Our teenage daughters were nicely accommodated but have been in this type of environment before and knew how to behave. I wouldn't recommend bringing very young children unless it's for a family meal. The wines were good, some suited our tastes better than others. The Tualatin Estate Pinot Noir and the Pinot Blanc were standouts for our group. All in all a very pleasant way to get off the road for a bit and spend time enjoying each other's company over some nice wine. It's worth stopping in and exploring!

Larger winery with beautiful hilltop views near the highway. Beautiful tasting room and deck. Food available.

On a private tour with 8 other in our party. Very nice setting but this is not a place to stop in for a cheap bottle. Tastings are $15 per person and that allows for 6 tastes of their quality product. 6 Tastes amounts to about a glass of wine, so if your prone to spend that kin od money for a glass, this is your place. No discount on the tasting price offered whereas most of the wineries in the area refund your tasting price if you purchase a bottle or two. I had purchased the tour for $200 (school auction) thus it included a trip through the production area and a small cheese platter at the end of the tour. Total tour took about 2 hours, so it was fun and money well spent in this instance. We have done many tours, and know you can find better tours for less money. food a little price for what you get.

Willamette Valley produces some decent wines. Although it is a bit commercial for my tastes, the new tasting room is absolutely beautiful and worth the visit. Views all the way to the Sisters on a clear day. Food is a bit pricey, but typical of tasting rooms. Stop in for the views and have a glass of wine to compliment!

The new patio is wonderful! The appetizers are wonderful and the view is incredible. Nice selection of wines to choose from to suit many palates. The sparkling muscat is wonderful and refreshing. Worth the trip to spend some time relaxing.

Had a delicious and gracious "family style" dinner with the other hike/bike/wine tour participants in the cellar dining room. The wine pairings were fantastic and the food was really well done and well presented. We had broccoli rabe grilled to al dente, gorgeous hazelnut crusted trout, very medium rare (perfect) london broil and homestyle mashed potatoes accompanied by a lovely spring mix salad. Very impressive. Dessert was the view right outside the room - the sunset was stunning.

Enjoyed a wonderful tour with Steve which was educational and included amazing wines. They have the most beautiful view and tasting room I have ever seen. We were not planning on it, but stayed for lunch or gourmet chicken poblano Mac and cheese compliments of their on-site chef. This would be the perfect place for a wedding, reception, or any other type of party!

This vineyard is the one not to miss while touring Willamette Valley vineyards. The tasting room is brand new and beautiful. The views from the tasting room are some of the best in the entire Willamette Valley and the wines are well made and there should be something to appeal to every taste.

We love going to Willamette Valley Vineyard. The vineyard is beautiful and the wine is amazing. It is a great place to visit for any occasion. We just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and Willamette Valley Vineyard made our day very special. They even designed wine labels for our 25th anniversary. Everyone love the Pacific Dungeness Crab and Marinated Artichoke Dip,

So many pass this beautiful location on a hillside just off I-5 North just south of Portland. The Willamette Valley Vineyard is one of the oldest and most highly regarded in the region and in the business. The spectacular tasting room is much more...live music, great food and solid tasting menu. Plus they pour enough for you to actually experience the wine. Our visit was made even better by Josh Simbler, an ambassador and marketing associate for the company. A graduate of Univ. of Oregon, he just fits this place and has a passion for the business and it showed in the tour. He answered all our questions and stayed longer to be sure he did. Great young man...ask for him.The wines are a bit upper mid-range in price but you won't be disappointed. The whole cluster vintage is a great way to introduce yourself to WVV.Of, and don't miss the views!!

This place is awesome! Delicious wine and beautiful new tasting room. I was skeptical with it being right off the highway but it feels like you're in the middle of the wine country. Great food and very knowledgable and friendly staff. Will return!

We visited on July 2nd, 2014 and had recently joined the wine club to take advantage of a free tour and tasting. We also had sampled some of the wines in the past, the Pinot Noir Whole Cluster was a big favorite of mine and my wife was learning to appreciate reds after sticking to whites for many years so joining the wine club did not seem like a big stretch. We were not disappointed and Steve provided a wonderful tour covering the history, bottling, storage and the personalities. I recommend viewing this http://www.opb.org/television/programs/oregonexperience/segment/oregon-wine-grapes-of-place-/ by OR Public Broadcasting as a great wine and Pinot Noir primer for the region. Our time just flew by and we can't wait to go back, with perhaps visiting the Tualatin Estate.
