We had a wonderful time with our trail boss, Ed riding for the half day both on the beach and on the ranch. I personally loved the ranch trail. I am 72 years old and found the staff helpful, kind as possible and with a good sense of humor. Gabby is 9 years old with horse camp under her belt and Kyle 21; who wanted to run his horse. Both got their wishes fulfilled. My horse minded well and did not run even when the other horses took off. Gabby's mom was a novice like myself. It was safe, fun and beautiful.

Where do I start? Lost our reservation, turned us away. Nice people let us go ahead of them. Left one hour late. If the guide wasn't yelling at us about going to fast or two slow he wasn't saying anything. Not helpful at all. Was not happy about his yelling at my kids on their first horseback ride. Beach was beautiful but everything else was bad. And place is an absolute dump. Would not recommend. Really, I'm speechless. Avoid this place is my recommendation.

Recently my family and I went on a vacation up the Oregon Coast. As is usual we try to do at least one horseback ride. Let me tell you... I am so glad we did not deviate from that. What a wonderful ride we had. I will begin with the fact that the Ranch is not the most scenic place in Oregon. A converted school house into a museum is more like it. The owner seems to be a little eccentric. He has all types of collections which you get to see some as he invites you to view a mandatory safety video in his den. After that he takes you back to the office and you are offered a jacket..if you don't have one I strongly suggest you take him up on his offer. The wind whips and the temp is pretty darn cold. We were there in Mid-June and it was really cold. Now for the ride, we were led by one of the nicest guys we have ever had as a riding guide. He took us across the famous Oregon Dunes which were beautiful. But the view only got even more incredible when we galloped out onto the beach. This was the highlight of our trip for me.Walking a magnificent horse through the shallow surf and seeing the majesty of this place. WOW!! The value for the price is unparallelled. $40 for an 1 1/2 ride in this place....Heck, it's worth 3-4 times that easily. If you want a memorable experience don't miss Siskiyou....
