This is not a large park, so don't come expecting to hike miles and miles. It does however offer great views of the surrounding country side and a nice cool place (under the trees) to enjoy a picnic lunch.

Bald Peak is a GREAT place to go in order to look at the surrounding mountains of the region. If you get there at just the right time, some of the mountains are far enough away that they appear to just be floating in the sky with the clouds. It's a very cool sight to behold!

A short drive from Newberg (where surprisingly the Fred Meyer had a nice deli section) is the perfect spot to have a picnic with a view. There are only a few tables but even from a parked car, the view is good There are a few short little trails that let you walk further into the wooded area to take in more of the valley below.

This time of year, this is a great spot to get above the fog when there is an inversion in the valley. Beautiful views to the west but no view at all to the east. Sadly, a private land owner planted tall evergreens along the road years ago to deliberately block the view to the east. Nevertheless, it's still worth a visit, especially on foggy days in the winter, or on hot days in the summer. There are a few short trails, but you can walk all of them in less than an hour.

Not far out from the city, but a nice place to stop and just watch the world go by.It's in the middle of an area with fun areas to ride motorcycles, and it's nice to stop at the park for a break.Great views, if you're there when it's clear.

There are several routes leading up to the top at 1600', which overlooks one valley to the east and another to the west. Minimal amenities, but the view is worth it on a clear day, as you can see a patchwork of farms and rolling hills below. This is best experienced while riding a bicycle to the park, thus allowing you time to appreciate the view along the way (plus, working for the view makesit that much sweeter).
