What a great family place to visit. We got enough tomatoes- multiple varieties all well labeled- to cook up a winter's worth of fresh sauce. At least 10 different kinds of peppers, seemingly countless varieties of berries (we were a little late in season, however). The whole farm is well laid out, the prices are reasonable and little ones have a ball eating and picking as we go through. Be sure to have breakfast at the great place across the street- over the top fritatas and other fare.

We had a great time picking berries at Smith Berry Barn. They had a wide variety of local produce and other things for sale in their store. Their milkshakes were outstanding (using local berries and lavender). We had a fun time just wondering the property and admiring the goats and chickens, the beautiful gardens, lovely farmhouses, and fields. South Store Cafe, which is right across the street, provided a great spot for lunch, allowing us to further relax after an earlier winery visit. There are plenty of great u-pick berry spots in the area, but Smith seems to have a few more amenities than others (if that's something you would like).

This working berry and apple farm is a wonderful family place to visit. We love this place and go there to U-Pick each year. In the spring and summer they have the best berries and they don't spray them with toxic chemicals. They have strawberries, raspberries, marionberries, black berries, blueberries and many more. In the fall the have many great varieties of apples and pears. The owners are young and very knowledgeable about plants and horticulture. There are animals for the kids to see and acres to walk and enjoy the outdoors. They have several festivals each year like the Berry Festival on July 4th, and an Apple Festival in the Fall. They also do weddings and dinners on the farm. One of the best things at the farm is the large barn gift shop with thousands of great items like jams, honey, candles, a large selection of hanging baskets, fruit trees and garden plants. We have been going to this farm for over 10 years and it is the best around.
