This small family run winery is in a beautiful area near many other wineries. I recommend a stop. They do everything themselves and the wine is good. It's a small tasting room surrounded by vineyards. We took our infant son and the owner was kind and chatted with him and made us feel very welcome. We had the room to ourselves.

This was the first winery we stopped in, small not fancy excellent wines. The owner poured the wine described the process, no fee to taste. We did buy some excellent wine. This was the least fancy winery we went to all day but the one we enjoyed the most.

Rosella's is one of my favorite family-owned-and-operated wineries in the region. They have a great cabernet, and their Ula Waina red blend (merlot/cab) is also a winner. Be sure to try their Wai Kula dessert wine too. And ask if they have any merlot blush -- they usually produce it in keg form but depending on the time of the year, occasionally have some available to taste. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about the wine here.Prices are comparable to, and perhaps slightly cheaper than, those at nearby wineries. In addition to fantastic wines, Rex and Sandy's hospitality can't be beat. If you're out in the Applegate valley, this is a stop you shouldn't miss.
