Jill and Allen Methven, owners of Methven Family Vineyards, have opened up their Estate Villa for a Bed and Breakfast, so you can now enjoy Methven Family wines in the middle of the vineyard that produces this superb wine! The house is gorgeous, and you are able to book just one bedroom or the entire house. The atmosphere is quiet, serene, and relaxing. The room we stayed in opened out to the pool and a breathtaking view of the vineyard, with Mount Hood in the distance. The bed was so comfortable (King); there were delicious-feeling towels in a bathroom that had a shower the size of a generous walkin closet. The bathroom has a sauna, and has a separate door leading to the pool.We were able to take advantage of the downstairs game room - pool, foosball, shuffle board, and a huge home theater. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking and eating equipment and utensils, so you could fix an entire meal if you choose. There is a cash wine bar fully stocked with all the Methven wine selections.Hand picked blueberries from Jill and Allen's bushes and honey from the beehives are only the start of the breakfast. There were also bagels, yogurt, fruit, and coffee available - everything you need to go out on the patio and enjoy the early morning air and breath in the Willamette Valley. You think you are in Tuscany, but it is even better because it is the USA!This is a MUST place to stay if you are visiting the area. If you do not have time to spend a couple of days, do not miss the winery. The Pinot Noir is the best! Jill and Allen Methven are hosts with the most! They make you feel so welcome and special. A local guide recommended this stop, and we're glad we listened. Although small, Methven provided delightful ambiance, staff, and wine. We had the opportunity to meet the owner who was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were even invited to pick cherries and blueberries onsite. Beautiful visits and a bocce court too. Add it to your "to visit" list. Try the BeeKeeper. Its delicious!
