The folks are very knowledgeable about Chickasha and are supportive of other Chickasha organizations.

Write to the Chamber of Commerce and possibly the mayor of this town about this museum. I plan on doing this. My husband and I love to visit small towns in Ok and their subsequential museums. This one was painfully small. tearoom was attached to museum. Tearoom was larger than the museum. Lacked exhibits and a curator that knew anything about the exhibits they had. I was dissapointed. The tearoom is only open M-F from 11-2. no weekends. (WHY?!) Seems like these folks either dont care whether this exists or not.. or simply have given up on Chickasha. Purcell (McClain County) had a better exhibit and museum even though it is a smaller town. On the positive side, there are several nice antique malls and shops downtown. Napolis restaurant is just down 4th Street (South) and is pretty decent Italian food. Small but nice. pizza is very good, crispy crust and fresh..
