My wife and I had an outing with 86 golfers recently. Wasn't the easiest course to find but once we did we loved it. Beautiful setting among the rolling hills. Really nice clubhouse with a reasonably priced well organized pro shop. You can have lunch out back on the veranda and take in the eigtheenth hole amongst one of the most amazing views anywhere in Ohio. This course was recently voted number one public course in Ohio and we could see why. Unless you are really good bring plenty of golf balls since you will lose your fair share. Since we had lunch for our participants after golf we had a chance to sample the food and it was high quality. We met the chef who gets tasked with much more of a challenge than our little meal and you could tell he loves his job and takes every event seriously. Everyone we dealt with from our main contact to the course manager were great and helpful throught the event. This course should be on everyones bucket list!

This is a lovely course in the rolling hills of central Ohio. Quite challenging, but very playable. Beautiful clubhouse and a really nice pro shop. Booked a tee time the night before online (GolfNow) for a reasonable price ($47 versus the normal $79). The club paired us with another couple for a foursome...they were really nice folks and it made for a great day of golf. The course was in good shape - the greens were a bit rough. One thing I thought was odd was that they had no sand on the carts or at tee boxes for divot repair. The course is well-used, so seems like they could benefit by doing this. And it didn't appear that many golfers bothered with fixing ball marks on the greens either - which is accepted golf etiquette - thus the so what rough condition of the greens. If you're in this area, book a tee time on thus course - you'll enjoy it!

Played here in the middle of last summer. Although the greens could have been in better shape the rest of the course was almost perfect. Every hole was different and posed a different challenge so you probably have to play it a few times to get the feel. Nice views, perfect scenery and course layout, not even mentioning someone was there to put your bag on the cart. I'd love to return one day and hopefully shoot a better score!

Played Longaberger for the first time in October. I enjoyed the course but it somehow lacked the 'Wow' factor I was expecting. Maybe I had the bar set too high for it. Greens were ok, not what I was expecting from a high end daily fee course. It was a month past aeration so they should have been back to full strength. You could tell they have had a lot of play. Overall it's a good track as long as you can play it for the right price. I would come back to give it another shot.

A must play. Awesome layout. Country club like greens and fairways. Keep an eye out on ezgolf.com for deals. Get there early and make use of included range balls. Practice green near 18 holes has an awesome view of the course. Did I mention this a top 50 course in the USA?

The few reviews that knock this course complain about conditioning during last summer. EVERY course in central OH was in less than prime condition strictly due to horrible weather during last summer. I have played this course multiple times every year since it opened..........simply one of the top courses in America that you can play. Do yourself a favor, JUST GO PLAY IT!

Longaberger golf club should not be missed if you love golf and topography on a course that's just beautiful. Definitely one of the most beautiful four or five courses I've ever played. My wife loved being there but it might be too tough to enjoy repeat visits for her. If I lived within a couple of hours it would be played multiple tomes during the season. Don't miss this course if you have a chance to play it.

My wife and I played this course just before July 4th 2013, and after a period of flooding rain. The course was in magnificent shape. It's a great layout that really needs to be played several times in order to develop a strategy. The staff was very professional and friendly. We hope to return some day even though it is far from home. Warning -- do NOT trust Google Maps for directions to this course. It sends you to the maintenance sheds about 4 miles from the clubhouse.

If you have not played here then you have overlooked a gem in the rough! Another of Dave Longaberger's visions. Hope the other side gets finished someday. Good food too!

Played this weekend and though the course was visually stunning, the greens were in terrible condition, course distances poorly marked, and the scorecard was useless... a sheet of notebook paper would have worked too. In their defense, the greens had just been aerated but we were not told of it when making our reservation nor when paying the greens fees. There was so much sand and plugs on the greens that your ball would just bounce around as if rolling on gravel. The score card offered no information other than the distance of the hole. A layout of the hole would be nice so you could tell if it went left or right over the hill. And the course was very poorly marked giving distance to the green... no 150 pole. The day we were there the conditions were "cart path only" so I spent a lot of time walking to my ball in the fairway only to get down there, hopefully find a marked sprinkler head - many of them were not, and then going back to the cart for a different club.If I was going for a drive in the country with my wife, this would be the place to be. Beautiful ground, beautiful views, beautiful clubhouse. But for a $100 golfing experience, go play 36 holes at Eaglesticks in Zanesville. I will add that the gentlemen who loaded our clubs from the drop-off to the cart and back were great.

My wife and I decided to play Longaberger Golf Club today. We hadn't played it in 3 years since it is about 25 miles from our house. The layout is still one of the best around but the condition of the course has really gone downhill. The greens are pitted with divots and burned out here and there. You could really tell the course and clubhouse has not been taken care of like it once was. Playing Longaberger used to be a treat but for $99 per person on the weekend, I can only say it is average at best. It's just another high priced public golf course. We probably won't be back for a while as there are other public courses that are in better shape.

Our visit was so wondeful! A wonderful dinner menu, a beautiful view, and excellent service. Thank You! It saved the day, from a very disappointing day to The Homestead and Dresden, with family from Miami.

Built by Dave Longaberger, the founder of Longaberger Baskets, this club is wonderful -- an Audobon-certified site which was built in an ecologically sound manner, in that all the cherry trees cut down to make the course were used to make the exquisite woodwork in the atrium of the "Big Basket," the Longaberger HQ in Newark (also open for tours.) The food is very good, and the views beautiful. This club is great for meetings or weddings or just a special lunch. Never very crowded, it is well kept and immaculately clean, from the locker rooms to the pro shop. I never tire of going there.
