Great cheese. We bought the cheese sampler, always good. However, their smoked beef sticks are the best around!

I like to stop by for the fresh cheese. They have a nice variety of cheese and it is fresh. They also carry some other unique items that you can't find at the stores.

While there is a small museum (photos and a few artifacts) that are interesting to see, the shop itself is not unique. It looked just like a convenience store with lots of souvenirs and cello wrapped cheese.

There's nothing really wrong with this place, except that it's a total tourist trap, and they don't make most of the cheese they sell here. If you want the real thing, and want cheese that's made where you buy it, go a few miles east on rt 87 to the Original Cheese Co-Op. That's where they make it and sell it. Plus, it supports the (real) local farmers.

They make very good Swiss Cheese here. It offers a historical view in the museum and many types of fresh cheese here. It is a good place to view Amish if you are inclined and just down the road from Mary Yoders Amish restraint. I go here for Cheese two or three times a year. They also offer many other health food itoms.

Many varieties of cheese made here at the factory...which bridges over the highway! As soon as you are inside you realize you are really in a food market and not just a cheese shop. The varieties of cheese are packaged many different ways allowing the customer to purchase his own preferences. I felt no individual concern from the staff for what I might discover in a cheese shop....very commercial.The cheese is excellent.

Typical cheese shop; lots to see, and buy lots of stuff besides cheese. Neat place for a visit, even if not purchasing anything.

Make this a regular stop when in or nearby Middlefield, Ohio. The shop is filled with delicious choices of meats and cheeses and other food and gift items. You can it in an Amish buggy or see how the cheese has been made for generations. There is plenty of free parking and the store is located down the street from many other attractions and things to see and do. Cheese prices seem to be far less than other stores I've visited and the shop employees are helpful and very knowledgeable. I was there, Saturday, November 10, 2012 to stock up with things for Thanksgiving Day. Saturdays seem busy as I have always come on that day. Many times there are samples so I can see what I like before I buy. The shop is easy to get to and the cheese chalet has become a regular stop for me.

We visited on a early Monday afternoon. The Middlefield cheese factory is very large and I kind of expected the store and museum part to be a little bigger. The museum itself is rather uninteresting and unorganized. I love every type of museum really so it wasn't the information that bored me; it was how it was set up. There were signs everywhere indicating you could go downstairs and watch a video; however, when we went to go down the stairs it was roped off and said no admittance. They were not offering tours. The store is very small and kind of unorganized as well. The line to check out was all over the place and nobody knew who was next. They had at least four people behind the check out counter but only one was working on the line while the rest stood around. They do have a different variety of food and candy and they have their cheese for sale at good prices. They also sell sub sandwiches. So, all in all, it was just okay. I don't think it is as special as they try to make it to be in the local area. It seems VERY outdated and just more of a quickie or convenience store to pick up a snack. I would most definitely not travel a long distance to visit. Maybe we just visited during an off time.

A very nice little shop off of the middlefield cheese factory. Sandwiches are overstuffed and under $5. A great selection of cheese. For the little ones there is an Amish buggy, with horse (not real), that they can play in.
