We visited this site when there was lots of snow on the ground so we did not walk up to the Memorial. It was quite impressive from our bus and with a little imagination, one can imagine the beauty of this memorial.

Interesting history. Well worth the drive to see. Beautiful cemetery across the street has history as well.

This was one of the stops on the Marion county geotrail while I was in town. This memorial is huge you would think you were in Washington DC looking at it.If this would not have been a stop on the tour I would have stopped to see what this big thing was in the park.It looked nice at night from the road all lit up.

I've been to many presidential burial sites. This one is definitely nice to visit, especially if you're in Marion anyway. It's very grand with a nice design. In terms of aesthetics and design, it's one of the better ones. There are about 46 pillars circling the monument. Inside, Harding and his wife are buried under a tree. It reflects Harding's wish to be buried under a tree and the open sky. There is a fence at the front, so that you cannot enter the memorial. On the back wall, behind the pillars, text describes Warren and Florence's lives. However, you cannot read it because the pillars cover it up. This was one oversight in the design. Overall, though, it's a grand monument. The monument is situated in a small park, and there is a large circular piece of stone with information about Harding and the tomb. Unfortunately, the information on this stone is visibly biased in favor of Harding. As long as you take the information with a grain of salt, the memorial should make a great place to visit.

This is a very nice memorial to warren g. Harding. It has an interesting design and is interesting for the history buff. His home (now a museum) is nearby.

History has not been kind to Warren Harding. Harding was a popular president at the time of his death, two years into his first and only term. Although he was well-liked in office, and credited with providing stability in the wake of the first World War, his star quickly waned after his death. His reputation was soon tarnished by an ugly scandal involving the sale of U.S. oil reserves and a torrid affair with a younger woman in the White House.Marion is a very pretty small town about an hour north of Columbus. It's not much of a detour off of 1-71 if you are traveling between Columbus and Cleveland. It's also about 2 miles from Harding's former home, which is now a museum. The Harding Monument is beautiful. It is at the edge of a large, park-like cemetery and is made of magnificent white marble, like a perfect Greek tomb. Harding and his wife are both buried here. There are historical markers that note the strengths and weaknesses of his presidency. Perhaps out of respect to Mrs. Harding, no mention is made of the affairs or of the child Harding's mistress bore out of wedlock. If you are a history buff, this is certainly worth a visit, although it is also an attractive site if you have interest in architecture or simply are looking for something interesting to see in Marion. One note: As this is an outdoor attraction, it's basically open any time of day. The Harding home, however, has more limited hours, especially outside of the summer, so if you want to visit both you probably want to make sure you time your trip to when the house is open. It would help if it's a nice day as the memorial looks stunning against a blue sky.The Harding Memorial would be grand enough to draw attention even in a city such as Washington, D.C., and is well worth a visit if you are in central Ohio.

I have been to visit the memorial twice. I have seen it in the day and at night. At night it has a beautiful glow. I went for the second time this past weekend during the day after visiting the Harding home. I learned before I visited the second time that the grave was built using mostly pennies collected from America's children and money from corporations. That was so interesting to me. The marble and craftsmanship of the memorial is a great example of Greek architecture. It is nothing you expect to see in a small town in Ohio. No offense.

If you love history then you should see this. It is the tomb of President Warren G. Harding andand his wife. The structure is circular like a Greek temple. This tomb is often usedfor school class pictures, weddings, and other group photos. It gives a glimpse into Marion's past and is a beloved sight Marionites are proud of. Adjacent to the property is Marion Cemetery. In the winter the slope to the left is used for sledding. On a spring or summer say it's nice to stroll along the property and take in the view, flowers and history. I've often stopped and ate lunch in the parking lot.
