I feel this to be one of the top micros in Ohio. The decor is only outdone by the beer. I highly recommend it.

We enjoyed a visit here with a glass of wine and beer samplers a few weeks ago. It has a great atmosphere; is in an old mortuary, with a lot of character to the building. One of the owners took us on a tour of the brewery downstairs. Really enjoyed our visit.

Great beer! You can order in pizza or chinese food from nearby restaurants, but we just went to try some of their brews. One owner gave hubby a quick tour. Nice folks! Nice atmosphere. Hope they continue to do well.

This is a great new place in Mansfield and everyone is excited they are here! The four guys that were able to put this together have done an outstanding job! Each beer has been given a clever name but the taste of each one will be a party in your mouth! The variety is sure to please every beer drinker's taste! The Phoenix is doing another great effort incorporating local eating establishments menus and phone numbers that allow you to call and have it delivered right to the door! Glad I knew the place to park is by the BMV in the brickyard! Welcome to Sunny Mansfield Phoenix Brewing Company! So glad you are here.

What fun! Mansfield's own microbrewery in an old mortuary. They capitalize on the building's former use by naming the beers, using a coffin-shaped wooden flight tray, etc. No kitchen here but they encourage you to bring your own food and plan to have food trucks when the patio is finished. The beer tastes great--surprisingly, I like the bitters, not a beer I usually choose.

We were visiting Mansfield the weekend this microbrewery was opening to the public and, although we had a tough time finding it (no signs were up and everyone local knew to park in the back), we were QUITE happy that we did! Great atmosphere, good beer, friendly and prompt service (for as crowded as it was that night).

The Phoenix Brewing Company has only been open for a few weeks, but we have managed to go twice now. The Brewery is in a renovated building in Mansfield, which use to be a mortuary at the turn of the century. You would not know it except for the many little details that they use to keep the reminder, like the name. Their sampler is served in a coffin-shaped wooden frame. The name of their beers also lend to the reminder: John Doe American Wheat, Redemption IPA, Ferryman Stout. At night, you can see the Phoenix in the upper windows, rising from the ashes. The decor is beautifully done with the original brick look of the structure, accented with wood and metal. There is a flat screen TV over the bar to catch all of the games. The Phoenix Brewing Company is only open on Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays as of right now. They have a pizza warmer and keep Two Cousins Pizza available. They allow and encourage you to carry in food from local restaurants and keep menus on hand to order take out. There are plans in the works for creating an outside patio too. They are also planning to have food trucks available at different times. If you plan to visit this great little brewery, be sure to go early. It tends to fill up quickly, and people stay for several hours.
