Mill Creek Park is a jewel! Be sure to have coffee or lunch on the patio at the garden cafe in Fellows Riverside Gardens. Drive. Hike through the park. Beautiful.

Mill Creek Park is so beautiful. There are many paths and lakes and wildlife to enjoy. Beautiful bridges and rock walls and secret places. I loved growing up with Mill Creek Park down the street. Many playgrounds and ice skating and sled hills. Take the time to tour the park.

The only way you will realize just how beautiful this place really is...is by visiting and having your own wonderful experience.

The Mill Creek Park in Mahoning County is the largest metropolitan park in the USA. There is over 99 miles of paved roades, 3 major lakes, 36 holes of golf, a spectacular rose garden with other flora, numerous pavillions, look out benches, hiking trails, boating facilities, a magnificent steel bridge, etc.

This is one of the nicest city parks around. It has a beautiful 36 hole golf course. The park extends from route # 224 to the downtown area.

If you are traveling along Route 80 from Pennsylvania through Ohio, Mill Creek Park is a nice stop. It is a "gem" according to AAA and I believe it is correctly labeled. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find....signs are missing. We did manage to walk along the bike trail and we saw Lanterman's Mill. We sometimes travel along Route 80 in this area and when we do, we will be back here again.

Pretty cool spot! Really nice garden, and don't miss the mill while you're there! Little history while relaxing.

It never gets old visiting Mill Creek Park because it is an amazing place for locals and visitors alike. From the Lilly Pond, to the Old Mill then over to Fellows Riverside Gardens it is nature at it's finest. While I enjoy showing it off to visitors, a quick visit to the rose garden even when I am all alone brings a smile to my face that all is right in the world.

Not far from the Davis Motel is this park. They have golfing, walking trials, a world class rose garden and much more. You can spend the entire day there.

We were looking for a new bike trail to try and learned that Mill Creek had a trail that ran from south of Niles to Canfield. You can actually start in Niles and add on another 5 miles to your ride which is what we did for a total of 15 miles one way.The trail is nicely maintained, level, but with a rise in elevation of about 350 feet heading south toward Canfield. It winds its way through forest, farmland, residential areas and small towns. Some areas are in full sun, so be careful to take along sunscreen on a sunny day. At the end of the trail in Canfield is a farm park which we didn't visit, but it looked interesting especially for kids. There are a couple of rest areas along the trail with the Kirk Road facilities being especially nice with old railroad buildings, restrooms, picnic pavilion, benches and parking. The rail was fairly empty, but did have more traffic around the Kirk Road area. We were very pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our ride and we'll certainly do it again!
