I took my wife and friends here for a Sunday afternoon outing. I must say that the staff is very helpfull. The winery is clean and very well kept up. If you are lucky you they will startup the fireplace which creates a nice atmosphere for socializing. I marked it as average because I believe the pricing to be a bit on the high side. For the four of us, I paid approvx $80.00 that was for six glasses of wine and three platters, bread and oil, cheese tray and meat tray. My recommendation would be to get the cheese tray and stop their otherwise you will be spending over $100.00 for your drinks. Also, I believe you should take advantage of the wine tasting portion as it costs only 50cents per sample... This will give you the opportunity to get the wine you really enjoy.. Let me know if this review help you have fun

We had such a lovely day visiting the farmers market and surrounding area. It took a GPS to find it, but SO worth the visit. Next door is a winery with wonderful selections from their grapes and fruits. The market has a wonderful selection of fruits and vegetables. The staff is friendly and the samples are delicious! Very reasonable prices and very fresh. Well worth a visit!

I live in Ohio and have consumed a great deal of Ohio wine. It is extremely difficult to find a high quality dry red in Ohio. Quarry Hill does not buck that trend. All of there wine is sweet to mega sweet. If you like sweet wine, red or white, this is the place for you. Considering the poor quality of the wine, it is extremely expensive. They have no wines that rise to the level of $25+ per bottle but that is what they charge for some. Some of their options are at best a small step above sweet box wine that I can purchase for 1/10 the cost in my local grocery. The food options are limited and nothing is overly exciting. Again, for what is being served it seems a bit expensive. If the weather allows, sit outside. The view is amazing. If it were not for the view, this place would not be worth visiting. Again, my tastes are a bit more refined and tend to go bold, dry and high quality. Sad to say you will not find anything that meets that criteria at Quarry Hill. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about how friendly and professional the staff was during our visit. So if you want to spend a lot of money eating mediocre food and drinking bad wine this is your place. You will, however, have an amazing view and the atmosphere almost makes up for the poor quality of the wine and food.

We live in eastern Lorain County; we meet friends from Huron County periodically. Quarry Hill is a great location because it is "between here and there". I remember when it was a "tasting bar" in the orchard's sales barn. So much nicer now. Always room to park, in the summer sit in or out on the deck or under the new roofed area, friendly staff, nice wine selection. Buckeye Red, sweet but not too. I love the ice wines. Comfortable selection of foods for snacking (or stop by the orchard and pick up some fruit). Not a rowdy place but not stuffy either. Oh, and clean bathrooms too. See you there soon.

After being amazed of all the wineries in the area I was told Quarry Hill was the best. Came here with my family and had a bottle of Buckeye Red! It was beyond words amazing. The atmosphere is fun the staff is nice but not over friendly. Usually always busy with customers but definitely worth checking out!

Truly the smoothest & most flavorful Cabernet is their Cabernet Franc. I enjoyed it with Rosemary bread...heavenly! We lose track of time, each time we visit, while enjoying the ambiance, wine, & food. ~Kathy Atwater

We go here at least twice a month. Always have the gourmet cheese platter and a couple glasses of wine...their ice wine for me and Buckeye Red for my husband. Always take a bottle or four home! GREAT atmosphere, outside seating overlooks vineyards. Inside has a huge fireplace that is wonderful to sit by. Chalkboard behind the counter shows wine and food choices and costs. Tastings available. Friendly staff.

We stopped here on the recommendation of another couple and we're glad we did! It is a very comfortable main room with a fireplace and plenty of windows to overlook the vineyards. Luckily, we got there early enough to be seated in the big room as the place started filling up very rapidly after we arrived. It was a Saturday night and there was a guitarist by the name of Steve Brownell who was a great entertainer. The wines were all Quarry Hill and roughly 75% of them were of the sweeter variety. A nice nice change of pace from what we usually drink. We split a panini sandwich which was average...but the lobster bisque was anything but. It was the BEST we'd ever tasted. As good as the wines were, we'd make the trip again just for the bisque!

Quarry Hill Winery is a lovely place to visit...whether inside by their fireplace or out on the porch overlooking their beautiful vineyards and orchards. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the service friendly and the wine selection varied, though mostly sweet. It's in a great location, in an attractive building so it's a wonderful winery destination.

Wines are OK (relatively new to the wine business) but the place is relaxing and the view of the orchards neat. Cannot really see Lake Erie however. A perfect diversion for a few hours on a nice day.

Another Winery which we stopped. This is on a top of the hill surrounded by vineyards and orchards. The dry wine both Red and White was very good. They also have a large selection of sweet wines for those who like that. This was a place which both my wife and I enjoyed. We did a tasting and bought 5 different wines. We had a Gourmet Cheese Plate and glass of wine for lunch while we sat outside on the deck. The lady who served the tasting was very good and knew not only what the wines were but had a good background to discuss others for comparison. Another you need to try if you like good wine and atmosphere.

This winery is in farm country and is in the middle of a vineyard and fruit farm. The winery is cute, the view is terrific and you can see Lake Erie on a clear day. The atmosphere is wonderful and it's a great place to go, share a bottle of wine with friends, have a cheese plate and enjoy the music. The night we were there, the owner was handing out little gift bags of peaches. The wine is decent, too - I am not a Merlot drinker but was impressed with theirs and it was my favorite red wine. It's a nice full bodied, smooth wine.

This orchard sells fresh fruit they grow on site; and other produce the sell for other growers in the area. Excellent peaches & apples. The winery sits up on a hill; on a clear day, you can see Lake Erie as you sip wine on the deck - or inside near the fireplace. It's a great way to spend an afternoon. The family that owns it truly cares about their customers.
