Never knew there are like 40 varieties of cider, many awesome flavors (like whiskey, chocolate etc.) and many (most) that are light and don't seem to be calorie laden. Beautiful tasting room. Stop here!

Cider amazing!! The building is so beautiful! Very laid back and was able to get some cider without fighting for a seat. There is a self guided tour which was nice to take your time to read about cider.

If you like cider this is the place to go. The friendly staff will let you taste free the numerous different types of hard cider. You will find some kind of cider you like. The self guided tour and large tasting room are great additions to this classy place. We visited on a snowy miserable day but this place was worth the trip. I am a hard cider lover now. A must stop if you are in the area.

In college I was a huge Woodchuck fan so this was a must-stop on our way home from a weekend in Burlington. Granted it was a Sunday, but we were the only 2 people in the entire place, which made it a little awkward. You can walk through the tour (on your own, not guided) and see the factory. Since we visited on a weekend it was a non-production day, which was a little disappointing that we didn't get to see the factory "working." It is a very short tour, but does have a lot of interesting information. They do give each person 4 shot glass size samples of their choice for free. It was definitely a generous portion. The bartender was informative and answered a lot of our questions. It was a nice stop on our way home, but would probably be more fun with a group.

I first tried Woodchuck Cider while I was in Florida, and have been a fan ever since. I have been wanting to visit the Woodchuck Cider House since it opened, and was not disappointed. It is difficult to choose which ciders to sample, as there are many. There are ciders for a variety of tastes, each one unique. In addition to the 4 free cider samples, more samples may be purchased, and there are some snacks available for purchase as well. I will definitely return to taste the latest creations. The self guided tour is informative, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

What a pleasant surprise we had last November while visiting Middlebury for the first time. We picked up the Middlebury Tasting Trail pamphlet and chose to visit the Woodchuck Cider House and we are thrilled that we did! We the help of the friendly staff we did the Cider House tasting of many of their excellent ciders. We knew the name and had previously tasted some of their products however we were surprised of the extensive product line and I have become a fan of their Hopsation, Farmhouse and Barrel Select ciders, all were a real tasty treat. We plan to visit again, to taste, buy and have fun taking pictures inside and out.

Great place to spend a leisurely afternoon. After touring the factory and learning about the history, bottling process, and company's mission, you have the chance to taste 4-2oz ciders from the bar. If you're not driving, have the bartender line up a sampler that will keep you busy for quite a while. Order a snack, chat with the staff, and buy a few items to show off your experience. It was very inexpensive, and very enjoyable.

This was a fun stop! My sister is a huge fine of Woodchuck Cider and wanted to visit its facilities. I went along for the ride, but had a great time touring and checking out Woodchuck. The tour was free and self-guided with samples at the end.Lauren was our server for samples. She was a wealth of information. The staff made our experience a very enjoyable one! Thank you!!!Admission is free, but be sure to check hours of availability. Also, be sure to try the pumpkin cider and the pineapple cider.

Self guided very short tour of cidery then you get 4 tasters of the ciders of your choice- all free! Lots of variety. The 802 and the pink one were my favorites. Pints are $4 and extra full tasting shots are like a buck I think. Funny tshirts lots of merch and the $1 lip balm is amazing! Wish I bought more...

I found out about Woodchuck Cider a few years ago through an acquaintance who had given me a few bottles to taste, and completely fell in love. However, this brand is not available where I live, so when I got an opportunity to visit Vermont, I did some digging and found out there was a recently built cider house on our way which was immediately put on our to-visit list. The place is new and absolutely gorgeous. They have an interesting self-guided tour on the second floor and a bar on the ground floor for tasting, which was very cheap. We were two people so we got four free tasting glasses each. After that, instead of paying 1$ for full-sized samples, the staff allowed us to keep getting more tasters at 1$/2 glasses. For a total of six dollars, we ended up trying almost everything they had on the list, with flavours like mint (imagine mint tea mixed with cider, but in a good way), chocolate, smoked apple (which tasted bacon-ey and very interesting), pumpkin, ginger and many many more. I especially loved Fall Harvest, which is seasonal and therefore not always available (it's only produced August to October). Being able to taste all the cider also helped us pick which ones we wanted to buy--though buying is not mandatory, it was one of the goals of our trip, and they had everything besides the barrel select in stock. They also had lots of really nice merchandise: clothing, totes, decorations and a variety of beautiful beer and shot glasses which would be fun to collect. Overall, it was a great experience and we definitely stocked up on all our favourite varieties.

We had been wanting to visit since the opening of the new building. Sat at the tasting room bar and mingled with some of the woodchuck full time staff. Very welcoming and friendly people. Cider was awesome as usual and we were glad we were able to make it! Only downfall was that we walked from our hotel as there were no shuttle services, and we wanted to be responsible to not drink and drive.

If you love hard cider then make it a point to stop and taste WoodChuck Cider. I have been a Woodchuck fan for years and was SO happy when they started building the new cider house. Made it a point to come visit from Florida. #ShareWoodchuckLove

I've been coming to Middlebury for years and this is such a great addition! The tasting room is huge and the ciders are so delicious! The ginger, IPC, grapefruit and hopsation were our favorites. You get 4 samples for free and then everything is $1. It was so much fun!It would be great to add some music and additional t-shirt sizes because they are so cute!

Even if you do not like cider ( I prefer beer or wine) do NOT miss this place. It was only open for two weeks when we went their on Fri Aug 22 2014 and has a nice little gift shop and produces ciders on site. Upstairs is a self guided tour with information on ciders and Woodchuck in particular. They have 15 ciders on tap and you get to try any four for free I think additional tastings were $1 each. You can also sit at the bar and have a pint. They have ciders of all types many for sale that we have never seen in our stores and beverage centers. My wife has been drinking cider before anyone seemingly heard of it and was amazed at the variety. The two servers were both great and informative . There is no food but it is a very unique experience. I had ciders with Belgian yeast , aged in bourbon and oak barrels. They will be rotating so check website to see what they are poring. A lot of fun and I was really happy and surprised with the cider.
