The Windsor Covered Bridge is still thought to be the longest (1866-2008) in the country by "locals", who tend to ignore anything built after 1900 and certainly after 2000. It makes a marvelous creaking to it when cars pass and it has been making that sound since the days of horse and buggy. It is not a good place to walk, but it is probably fairly safe to drive over, since it was fully restored in 1988. The original prices are still posted above the bridge.

Classic New England covered bridge in a beautiful setting over the Connecticut River. Not worth a trip, but a must-see if you are in the area, or a detour if passing by on I-91.

This easy-to-find bridge is situated for easy access and good photographic opportunity. It is among about a half dozen in the area.

I used to count the cars going across this bridge from my bedroom window at night. The bridge is the oldest around the area and is of unique construction developed a century ago.

It is the longest covered bridge in the US, what else is there to say? We drove over the bridge to a road that led us to a park and an artist's home with exhibits - that was much more interesting than the covered bridge.

travel thru the bridge on a daily basis - very interesting architecture and you can walk, bike or drive thru great sights on the other scene

This is one of the few bridges in New England that has two way traffic. Park on the New Hampshire side and take a leisurely look at how well made this old bridge is
