U of Fl.Small Animal Hospital, really has done an excellent job of caring for our feline who had a cancerous tumor, they removed successfully over a year and a half ago. We continue to take her back for her follow up scans and check ups.Your animal is in the caring and compassionate hands of faculty and students. They have the latest technology too. They keep you regularly updated, if your pet must have a procedure/surgery.There are pet friendly hotels also in the area, if like us you come from a distance. They can provide you also with a list of pet friendly places.Keep in mind that it may take longer for an office visit, as students must go on rounds and also each client and their owners must be seen by both the student assigned to you and the doctor. Comparing the cost/results to a regular vet, we really feel we saved in the long run by having a ct -scan, consultation, surgery with good results" once" at U of Fl. SAH, instead of letting a local vet do multiple surgeries with only xrays as a guide. There is also food vendor on premises, large lounge too. Everything is clean. All of the staff willing to be helpful. A very positive atmosphere for pets and family. They will also keep your local vet updated ,and if you wish your local vet can contact them for you.We make our own arrangements. They take credit/debit cards.

I am a Florida native and attended University of Florida. That being said, it is the most beautiful and most fun campus and surrounding area in Florida. Lots to do in the area.

I spent two days on the campus of the University of Florida, and in no way saw all of it. It is huge! There is a variety of buildings, of various ages. There is also a very attractive conservation area on campus. I was amused by the sign, posted in the middle of a small lake, urging visitors not to feed the alligators. I also enjoyed the vast variety of trees, the flowers (even in February), and the legions of the squirrels (a small appetizer for gators?). As a non-American, I was bemused by the long avenue of huge, mansion-like fraternity houses. There are at least two stadiums, an art gallery, a theatre, and fast-food outlets. If you are in Gainesville, and if you like to walk--or bicycle--this is a great place to visit.

My husband and I attended Jersey Boys through AAA. It was performed in the Performing Arts building which has ample parking space, a large lobby, and very comfortable chairs. The chairs are situated so that you can see in-between the 2 people in front of you....which is really good for me because I am so short and I always end up in back of a tall person! The sounds and music and actors were all top-notch. We will not hesitate to book other performances in this theater.

While I did NOT head here to see Gator Stadium, I took a peak then moved through campus safely by bike. Very friendly people, very nice cycle paths and a lovely green space with a lake. A very pleasant visit.

We attended a performance of Phantom on Friday night put on by the music department. The voices were outstanding as were the orchestra and organ performances. A very enjoyable night.

Pleasing and sprawling campus of 53,000 students. Beautiful buildings with palm trees, bats (UF Bat House) and gators (real ones @ Lake Alice.) wonderful historic buildings for learning and recreation.

Excellent time at the football game. We traveled all the way to Florida just to see a Gators game. Will now make this an annual tradition.
