We have seen many productions at Actors Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, and full-disclosure, appeared in three of them in 2007-2009. But we have always gone back, and in the last two years, we have witnessed outstanding productions of MISS SAIGON, IN THE HEIGHTS, and the best RAGTIME I have ever seen - and we saw the original Broadway cast! The venue is a renovated historic movie theatre - The Miracle - with a mainstage of about 600 seats and a smaller theatre that was created in the ample balcony. A first class staff and Artitistic Director David Arisco, bring the best talent to their bounteously produced productions, and their Children's Theatre presentations, employing top professional music talents, are enjoyed by tens of thousands of young audiences year round. You should visit this excellent company for one of their shows, and make it a full dining and theatre experience, as there are more than a dozen, maybe more, excellent restaurants within walking distance for various budgets and culinary tastes for lunch and dinner.

This is a great theater to see the latest shows. The sound system is good and it feel like an intimate setting. There are quaint restaurants and shops along Miracle Mile.

We went down to the Actor's Playhouse to see A Christmas Carol and get some Christmas cheer. The venue is small and cozy. There's not a bad seat in the house. We sat in the 2nd row and we were so close it felt like we were on stage. I don't know how many seats there are, but it felt like a two to three hundred. The show itself was very fun and the performers were great. They have a small concession stand right outside the theater in the lobby. Parking is a pain, but thankfully there are valets.

Well, this little theatre really packs a punch. Four of us saw "Murder Ballad" at the Actors' Playhouse (finishes 2nd November 2014 so go quickly) and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Lots of energy, great acting, and a fantastic setting - the main theatre has been reduced down to an intimate venue (only 310 seats) where part of the audience is literally sat on the stage. If you go, do take a table in the middle - it's part of the fun. There are other nice touches such as the bar in the set being used to serve drinks before the play starts, and the actors mingling with the audience beforehand. "Murder Ballad" was an off Broadway production which, I suspect, didn't make the big time because the music doesn't quite get there even though the singing is excellent and the songs kick off well enough with some good opening riffs. That aside, I thoroughly admire the enthusiasm, the professionalism and the all round talent of this small theatre which obviously takes pride in what it does and thinks carefully about how best to do it. It's a great place to go and to support. Bravo ! Roll on my next visit !!

I went the first time to take my daughter for some acting classes. The talent of the young teachers is amazing. She enjoyed every weekly class and was eager for the next one. They do quiet a few shows there very often and the reviews are always good.

Smaller intimate theatre for performances. Always reasonable. Near affordable parking. Check on line for performances.

Great performances and variety of plays for young and old alike! Have been many times over the past 16 years and my children have many fond memories as well! Their grandmother always bought season tickets when they were young and stayed after for them to collect autographs from the cast! The holiday performances are my favorites!

Okay, some shows are better than others. We've been season ticket holders with friends for the past couple of years. As a package with the neighborhood restaurants with plenty to choose from, we always have a great time. Alone, the plays are either great or mediocre. Still, we really enjoy the theater size and ambiance.

We've bee here for several plays and always enjoy it. This is a neighborhood theater with a much bigger feel--large auditorium, comfortable seats and good acoustics. Prices tend to be moderate and productions well above average--quite professional and enjoyable,.

This theater is beautiful and the quaility of the show was broadway level. The show was hysterical and the actors amazing. The lady of the lake's voice could bring you to tears, so talented. The staff and environment was great too! This is a must go.

Over the years I have seen several excellent productions here, including at least one headed for Broadway. Every aspect of the shows here, from casting to direction to production values, is top notch, and ticket prices are very reasonable.

we have been members for many years. We enjoy the productions and the look of the theater. The staff is very friendly. The only thing that could use improvement is the lobby bar, new items or a wider assortment would be nice.
