I have lived here over thirty years and I have witnessed the slow decline of Pine Lakes (now The Grand Club - Pine Course). Played last Thursday with friends and a charity tournament Saturday. Greens are in reasonable shape. Fairways are touch and go as far as overall grass condition. Sand traps were well maintained during my two visit. Pro shop not very well stocked. Staff were pleasantly groomed. Landscape well past its prime and parking lot in need of repair. Now that I have the negative stuff out of the way let me say I understand the financial circumstances of the operations. Heyday is long gone. I am glad they are still attempting to provide good golf. Many courses have gone by the wayside, but, the Pines and Cypress still maintain play. I thank the corporation for saving the Palmer course. I think of it as a Links course and simply move on. The origin of golf did not provide lush fairways and medium fast greens. A little rustic look and conditions will test a true golfer's skills and knowledge of the game.

Decided to try this course as its an Arnold Palmer design. Upon arrival we were a bit concerned as its "curb appeal" was terrible ... landscaping full of weeds and unkept, pavement on entry drive and parking area deteriorated. Our concern continued when the starter had no indication of our t-time ... he was very courteous and promised he could get us out. The pro shop was a different story when the cashier was curt and bordered on rude when he couldn't find our internet booking ... said something to the effect that the site we booked on was supposed to have been taken down (our fault for using it?). The course itself is in SAD shape. Tee boxes and fairways are awful .... like playing on cardboard and full of weeds and unrepaired divots. Greens were okay. Traps too had weeds and were unkept. Layout of the course itself was good and a challenging design. After returning home and "Googling" the course apparently it was bought in Sep 2014 and the new owners intend to bring it back to life. I hope they hurry up because the "patient is in critical condition?"

Waited on every shot. Have played this course before and had a similar experience. Just be prepared to spend the better part of the day. Conditions were ok for time of year. Had a draft beer and sandwich afterward and was disappointed there as well. The beer was 25% foam and the sandwich came slowly with fries that were few and soggy. I won't be going back any time soon.

The golf course is a nice layout but the conditions are not great. It is just tired and needs a lot of renovations. The pro shop staff was less than cordial. I would look for other options - this was a one time experience for our golf group.

Have played this course 4 or 5 times over the past 10 days and it's one that keeps your head up - no gimmicks - every hole is a challenge and there are a couple that represent even more than that. It is in good shape as I'm writing this - both greens and fairways. Great restaurant and bar. I found that the pro shop staff were more than accommodating and helpful. You can't go wrong for the price of a ticket here.

Even though play is down and maintenance has suffered on some structures, the pine course of the grand club is in great shape Nd the greens are very good. This is a beautiful and challenging course, friendly staff, and cheap for residents! Go play, you'll be challenged and the pub is good too for food and drinks

The restaurant has the best view in Palm Coast with a terrific bar and restaurant. The course is an interesting and challenging Arnold Palmer 18-hole course.

We went to play the Pines because it was local and we heard they were under new ownership. The course not in good shape. There is wild grass on tee boxes and fairways. The grass was tall and in need of cutting. We collect logo balls from all courses we play out of town and they did not even have those. We did not dine at the course but choose to eat off site. Would not recommend.

I really enjoyed a lunch meeting here and will back again. Service was awesome and the chef was fantastic! Will make you a custom order of anything if he has it on hand. :)

Showed up to hit balls at the driving range the other day and no one there at 6PM. Hey, these are the longest days of the year. I have heard that the Pine and the Cypress Courses were sold. A change of ownership would be a good thing. This place gets little play, they have cut golf course and food service personnel down to bare bones. The end is near. Die gracefully and let a new owner resurrect what could a real plus for Palm Coast. Lord knows, we need that, improvement.

I played this course twice--my first and last time. Other than poor conditioning, sketchy greens, weird design and slow play, it was OK. If you are serious about golf, try something else.

Did not golf but ate at the restaurant. Nice views of the course but that was overshadowed by the average food. Chicken was just not good. Potato wedges, salad and bread were the best part. Servers were nice, attentive and personable. No wifi.

It's a golf course club like atmosphere. The food was terrific, waitress friendly as could be, had extra napkins without asking. We don't golf but it is open to the public and we heard the food was good. Simple, clean, looks out over green grass.

Nice layout, greens good, bunkers poor but then again very wet prior to our visit so maybe compacted sand to be expected though would be nice if they raked them. Some of the holes way too wet to be in play but I guess they want your dollars. Nice clubhouse. Didn't go back because it was so wet but would have done if the weather had been better

Enjoyable course. Not too difficult and in great shape. Very friendly service, price was reasonable. I recommend putting the course in your intinerary.
