We tried to get here mid week but bumper to bumper traffic caused us to turn around and go elsewhere. On Sat. Morning, we just drove right in. When you turn off BonitaBeach road onto Barefoot beach road, the pavement is all brick and winds back and forth about 3 miles to get to ranger station. There are 3 parking lots of which 2 have chemical toilet facilities. We had to park at last lot and if you want to get chair , umbrella, etc you have to walk quite a ways to first entry to beach. The beach is very nice and natural. We did not see as many shells as expected but what was there were old shells.

Get here early during the peak season as it fills up. Beach is nice, clean, and has plenty of little shells. Further away from the pavilion is better. They had a food vendor and bathrooms at the pavilion. the drive tot he preserve is through a multi million dollar housing area. Nice houses to look at.

The ride leading into Barefoot Beach Preserve is thru a neighborhood of spectacular million dollar homes and condos. The $6.00 that you have to pay to get into the preserve is well worth the ride alone. There is a lot of parking but get there early because it can get pretty crowded. But, the beach goes on for a long ways so you will never feel crowded out of beach area. There are rest rooms, food and a display hut and trails. I believe it's the most beautiful beach in that area. It's worth the trip just to see the beautiful homes there.

We stayed in Bonita springs for 4 days and spent 2 of them at this beach. Great shelling, saw dolphins and gopher tortoises. Yes, it costs to get in, but we thought it was well worth it. Good sand, not too crowded, nice and sunny and warm in Feb. Long drive through expensive area, wouldn't have thought we were on the right road. Parking lot 3 was best.

The drive in is stunning , the gopher tortoise always entertaining...the beach crowd a cut above....15 years of enjoying this peaceful paradise...

I think the name is a sort of a joke. Walk on the shore, near the water for an hour or two barefoot and you will find out; there is no sand, only pieces of broken shells. But the area is nice. You wont find any food or drinks there. Away from the waves the beach is decent sand. Not pristine coral based sand, and not as good as at Destin or Miami, but decent. Better than Naples.

Traffic in this area is hoerible (stay away from 41 as long as you can) but once you pull into barefoot beach drive, you enter a beautiful beach! You have to drive down a brick paved road past gorgeous beach homes. There are 3 parking lots. We were able to grab a spot in lot #1 where there is a full bathroom, snack bar and small outdoor visitor nature center. A kind docent took the time to show us a Gopher Tortoise not far away and told us where to find more. They are fun to watch! There are boardwalks that take you down to the beach which wasn't too crowded. If you walk down the beach toward the south you come to an inlet waterway that is pretty& Some boats were parked there. The farther you walk down the beach the more private it is. Nice place!

Barefoot Beach is the best beach that I have found in Naples and at times you can feel like you have the beach all to yourself. There is an $8 entry fee but its well worth every penny. It is great for swimming, sunbathing, walking, and there is even concessions that are very convenient. Like other beaches in Naples it is not too wide but just right so far those you have trouble getting around this beach is great for you. You can usually spot turtles every time you go so keep an eye out. If you have never been you must go, and I promise you won't be disappointed.

First time here, but not last. Clean friendly area, great amenities, friendly park staff, a must see spot. Note Arrive early, 9:00 AM or so limited parking.

Great beach and has been for years. Wonderful family area and hidden to most except not to those of us who know where it is..... Suggest if beach bums or snow birds you buy the seasonal Collier county beach pass @ $50 for 1 year to enter. (You can't purchase this at the entry point but use web for location as to where to purchase the pass.). If go to the far south lot you can walk the .5 mile nature trail to Wiggins Pass. Restrooms at north parking lot and education area. Go early if want to get in during the snow bird season! Enjoy

Beautiful clean white sugar sand beach. Almost a private beach. An added attraction are the beautiful homes you pass as you travel to the preserve.

Wonderful beach to just relax. There are restrooms, a learning area and adequate parking. It is worth a visit.

Enjoyable beaches and preserve.. Lots of gopher turtles on path in preserve. Good place to spend a day at the beach and walk abd enjoy nature.

Barefoot Beach community is comprised of a few hundred very upscale homes along the beach and is obviously a very desirable place to live. It poses a contrast to the almost totally natural environment in the nature preserve. I say almost natural because of the mile or so of raised wooden walkways to accommodate large numbers of visitors both able bodied and those in wheelchairs. It is a wonderful place to spend a few hours........good information and good facilities. It is NOT anything like Lovers Key which is just 10 miles North. Lovers Key is truly a Natural place preserved for birds and armadillo's and all other creatures native to the environment. I strongly recommend seeing both of these attractions.

This is a spot not to be missed if visiting this area. Great beach, and one where shells abound. Facilities are good, but it is another where car parking is a little limited and getting here early is a must. You will find you do not want to leave once there.
