I met the person who did the building of this great Micro- Brewery at Mecum Car Auction and we became friendly and realized we were from the area...Tampa...I went down to Cigar City Brewery and visited him and he said would you like to take a tour of the Brewery....Of course I said Yes.... Boy oh boy I could not believe what I saw!!!! The huge stainless steel vats and the filtering system and the cooling system and finally the canning machine ....which is so fast you see one can at a time its too fast!!! Then I went back up front where there 2 bars that are open 7 days a week and the second bar is a tasting bar...WOW..What a Great Place to have here in TAMPA.....ALSO GREAT TASTING BEER!!!

I came across this brewery thanks to a friend raving about it on Facebook. Luckily, I found it just days before my boyfriend and I made the trip up to Tampa to visit The Florida Aquarium. This was the last stop for us before returning home and I kept it a secret until we arrived. We were pleasantly greeted by the bartender and directed out to the brew house to wait for the tour to begin. The tour was the first of the day so it wasn't too prompt but the environment was so laid back, we were enjoying just watching people work while we waited. Our tour guide, Amy, was super stoked to start serving us beer at 11 am. She checked everyone in, about 20 tour takers, quickly and efficiently and we got started. The tour was very educational and entertaining, and we weren't complaining about getting beer at every stop. Luckily, my boyfriend was driving because I'm enough of a lightweight that I was toasted by the time we were done. It was an amazing deal and a great end to our trip! If I'm ever in Tampa, I'd definitely do it again, and I'll recommend it to anyone I know visiting the area!

Amy is a superb tour guide. We keep the 16 oz. beer glass after the tour. Everyone was able to sample 4 different beers, each sample up to 8 oz. each. Go for a 11 AM tour and you get to watch them can the beer, we were there at 1 PM and missed it.

Cigar City is a great destination for beer fans while in Florida. The brewery is reasonably close to the airport (15-20 minutes in traffic). There are tours every hour for $5.50. That fee buys you a pint with a pour of whatever they have on the tap, along with several pours during the tour. The guides are usually brewers with a great deal of knowledge at their disposal. After the tour, you can sit at the bar and sample the multitude of random beers Cigar City brews. It is a lot of fun. Just in case you have too much fun, there is a Whole Foods just down the block with an assortment of carbs.

We stopped in for some of that great Cigar City beer. There were so many taps, and you can also buy by the bottle, growler, etc. The gift shop has plenty of stuff. The whole place was hopping on a weekend afternoon. There was even a food truck.

Okay, so you've been on plenty of breweries tours -- you have to try this one. First, your $6 gets you a pub glass which is filled with the very good product periodically as you walk on the tour. A new twist is that half pours of three different products are made as you go, to sample different types of beer brewed as it is discussed. This is my second trip and the guides both times were interesting and funny. There is a tasting room also, if you want to sample (for extra cost) more of the many beers made or get something to eat from a limited menu. But the beer is the attraction and it's very good.

Nice selection of good craft beer. Parking could be a problem and the place is crowded. The beer and atmosphere is worth the trouble of fighting the crowds. Just minutes from the airport and a good place to take the edge of off your flight.

We usually plan on stopping at CCB directly after leaving the airport since it's so close by. This trip was no exception. We arrived to a comfortably busy tasting room and ordered a few samplers. Service was fast and friendly. Beers ranged from excellent to okay, the selection constantly updating. We also decided to get crowlers filled before leaving, which is done at the front bar. We did not take a tour this time, but do recommend it of you've never been before. They always make it fun!

Just wow. What this young man and his friends have done in just 6 years is a showcase of America entrepreneurship at its finest. Great tour, great beer, and I can't wait to return in a few more years to see what this guy has accomplished. The sky is the limit! What fun watching a young company grow and thrive.

The cigar city brewery is just plain fun. My son was here last week for a visit and he's a beer aficionado. He was certainly not disappointed. He visited a few other breweries here in the Tampa area and said none compares to Cigar City! We have taken the tour of the brewery in the past but it was too late to do so this time. This is a great attraction for adults. Fun venue with outstanding brews!

The Cigar City Brewery is fantastic. We have been enjoying their beers for quite some time. They started doing weekend tours and we just had to stop by while we were in the area. For a little over $5.00 you get a fantastic tour of their facility, a pint glass to take home, and samples of some great beer. Some of the beers you sample may not even be available to the general public! After your tour (or before) you are invited to hang out in the tasting room. Cigar City offers a ton of beers on tap along with some guest taps as well. They sell some of their flagship beers in cans and offer growler/crowlers on a number of other beers. It is a very inviting atmosphere that I would definitely visit again! Must see for beer lovers!

I love it here! Definitely worth the drive from Orlando if you need a theme park break. The beer is great, and there are loads of varieties that are always changing and you can only try here. We didn't make it for the brewery tour - next time. But it was great to be here and actually enjoy some of the beers! We love Cigar City - wish it was closer to visit on a regular basis! We will return...

Have always enjoyed their brews - flew in to Tampa decided to stop in to see the place in person.Thurs afternoon at 2pm the place is packed? Don't these people have jobs>? Great Taproom lots of space two separate bars Rivals any microbrewery I have been into to date! Lots of events going on and looks to be a blue star brewery! Thanks

The tour of the facility was well prepared and very informative. Of course the tasting of the beer accented the experience. Rated 4th in the world as a micro brewery and you see why after your visit and tour of this place. Staff very pleasant. Found the prices for the beer reasonable. Looking for any reason to return. Stop by, you will not regret it.
