Arch Creek Park is easily confused with the very close by Enchanted Forest Park but it is very nice as well. You can picnic in the shade, take a walk on a nature trail and forget that the pollution and development of the outside world is beyond the trees. Wildlife has one of the few sanctuaries left in North Miami that hasn't been bulldozed yet. I've seen ibis, squirrels, tegu & anole lizards, and even swans. Most locals who zip past on Opa Locka Blvd have probably never visited or even know it's there. Parking and entry is free, and so is the sense of peace you get to take a break from North Miami's concrete Jungle.
