Great stop while heading to the keys. They service is a little suspect and the wines were a little sweet for our taste but the ambiance and the beer more than make up for it.I went with a group of 4, 3 of us did the wine tasting and 1 did the beer. When we tried to pay we had a few questions on the different tastings and it seemed everyone we talked to just started working there and knew nothing about the different types of tastings! We finally talked to a manager and he was able to actually answer our very basic questions. The wines were all a little too sweet for our taste but if that is your thing you will love their wines. For the beer tastings you try about 4 beers and then you get a pint of your favorite one. And you get to keep the glass! We decided to taste outside in front of the building since we had a small dog with us (they aren't allowed inside our out back in the grounds). It was a very windy day and some of the small taste glasses flew over - not to worry though, when I went inside they were very friendly in pouring us many extra samples which was very nice of them. The woman at the beer counter even had me try several of the beer "blends" where she mixed some of what thy had in tap - truly a cool experience. We didn't try any of the food and we also got to keep wine glasses from the tasting which was cool.Would recommend to anyone looking for a break while driving to the keys.

It cost $10 each to taste wine - you keep the glass - if you need a glass while on vacation? The young man serving was fair at description. Some wines were pretty good if you like citrus flavors. Tours offered only on weekends:( so not much to see. They have beer tasting too - interesting flavor but did not want to mix tasting. We split one pint - $6. Sounds like they have parties on weekend, so could be fun time. The sell the wine at Walmart at 2/3 rd the price, so go to Walmart at Homestead.

When you think of wineries, South Florida most likely doesn't come to mind; however, Schnebly Redland's is a surprisingly lovely hidden gem. The wines were fresh and crisp, but the fruit smell was a little shocking initially. Bring a picnic and buy a bottle and bring a group of friends on a Saturday. There is live music, but you'll have to pay a cover to stay inside. Luckily, picnic tables are located outside the main entrance where you can sit for free.

I will level with you, wine is not Schnebly's strong suit. I knew this going in, so I opted for the beer. The beer is good. I had a combination (the bartender suggested) and my boyfriend had the IPA (very good). You feel like you're in a tropical resort. I could have spent hours there and, in fact, almost missed my dinner reservations because it's tough to leave. For photos to see what I mean, visit: http://tinyurl.com/q4jckx5

First visit was crap due to poor customer service specifically manager on duty..But I did like their take on "wine" and had a pleasant second visit, So with an upcoming wedding of a friend we thought this would be a great venue..The place is truly beautiful and spectacular. After a little research I sent an inquiry via their website as was instructed by said website. We waited 2 weeks with no response, third week we called and if you do not have an extension good luck finding a human to take your call!! Eventually after numerous calls someone answered wonderful, pleasant person who instructed me I was in luck as event coordinator was in house at that moment I should hold on, after holding for about 7 mins I was told event coordinator is in a meeting but to leave number and I will be called back..I did, it has been 2 more weeks still no call (from initial contact to now it has been 6 weeks). This place has so much potential that it will never realize unless management is improved!! Such a shame, as much as I like their wine I wont go back there, and Pinecrest Gardens was more than happy and courteous in providing a wedding venue and timely information. Get your act together with better management!!..the grounds and products are much too beautiful and delicious to be mishandled by incompetent management staff, regardless of who you are..

I went there at night, on the recommendation of friends. Music, ambience and place are outstanding. Wine and beer options also colorful, exotic and interesting. I would return but unless things change for the better, I would eat something before getting there. In my opinion, not paying attention to the food options is just plain bad business practice. Schnebly has the potential to match food service to the level of its beverages. I paid $25 for two sad burgers served with a slice of cheese and a bag of chips for me and companion. The sign read pasta salad but apparently they were out of it. No explanations or substitute or price adjustment. No ad ons for the burgers either. A bun, a burger and a slice of cheese... $11.95 each plus tax. The food took 20 minutes several of which were waiting for the lady taking the orders doing her best to take old fashioned credit card payments taking manual imprints. Really nice place though, not interested in putting the place down since we actually had a great time. I would recommend it and more than likely return myself and hope that a wine and dine option, even if just a burger, match since everything else was a 5 star rating.

My family and I were looking for another winery when we stumbled on this one. The variety of wine is different and very good. A tasting is not cheap but the wines are tasty and you get to keep the glass after. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the avocado wine. They also offer a beer tasting experience. We did not do it but it seemed quite popular. They have a nice garden at the back and the atmosphere is extremely pleasant. Highly recommended.

I like to take visitors somewhere that's tropical & Florida, yet not your usual Florida destination. Schnebly Winery is my first choice! The construction is coral and the landscaping couldn't be lovelier, making it a top choice for weddings and their weekend parties. For a small fee, you can get your own Schnebly wine glass and sample their own vintage made from kiwi, guava, and mango, as well as a whole list of tropical goodies. My favorite wine was first concocted by mistake; others are described as hurricanes (Cat. III anybody?). Purchase a snack of cheese and crackers (they have some of the best Brie I ever had) or an obligatory souvenir t-shirt (99% Chance of Beer Tonight) to round out the visit. Yes, you can also sample their own private brew in several shades, although it does not live up to the quality of their wine. And when you leave, take along your favorite red, white, or dessert wine by the bottle or by the case. And make sure you ship some home to your friends; nobody expects to get wine from the far southern end of sunny Florida! I love having company; it's a great excuse to enjoy a relaxing afternoon in one of the most beautiful spots around. The visit is free, but the wine isn't, but only a fool would leave without spending a leisurely hour or so at the wine tasting bar.

Considering how much I love wineries, It's pretty amazing that I had not yet taken the time to visit the closest one to where I live. While a 90 minute drive is not exactly close, it really is "in my own backyard" in comparison to having to hop a 4 hour flight. If you come here with an open mind, you will love this property. The gardens, waterfall, and live band made for a beautiful, lazy, relaxing sunday afternoon. Absolutely take the tour. As for the wine? Well...there are no grapes involved, so expect SOMETHING DIFFERENT. Don't expect to be comparing these wines to your favorite cab. Just enjoy them for what they are...fruit wines. We had a great time at the tasting. With so many flavors, we made it a point to each make different selections, and managed to try quite a few. I think my favorite may have been a guava wine. Also enjoyed one with coconut. The avocado wine was just too different for me, and my pallet is still confused. I think another visit down here, maybe next year, will give me another chance to figure it out! There is food for purchase. We had eaten before coming here, so did not have anything. The sandwich selection seemed nice. A bit pricey, but in line with what you would expect at an attraction. Other items, like cheeses, spreads and snacks, however, were priced at pretty abusive levels.

I love that I can relax with friends, drink wine and hang out in a beautiful environment that is family friendly. There are always awesome bands and we always have a great time.

Tastes buds were on a field trip at this pleasant and cozy winery out in the heart of the Redlands. The wine tasting was perfect to see how wines are made from mangos, passion fruit, and even avocados. Great concept using the local South Florida harvest to make wines. My favorite was the sweet avocado. Wonderful spot to bring some food on a beautiful day & sit outside in their "backyard".

This is a neat place to go with kids or for an afternoon of beers or wine - they have food, live music sometimes and other activities. HOWEVER, their wine is very very strange - it's made out of pretty much anything but grapes and I can't say I recommend it - I was practically cringing with every sip of the 5 wines we tasted for $10 - good deal but would be better if the wines were better. You do get a nice wine glass to keep. The only one I could sort of enjoy was the passion fruit. But on the other hand they have been in business for 10 years so someone must like the wine!! They have a nice grassy area out back and waterfalls so it's a cute stop if you're down that way but I wouldn't make a special trip.

Highly recommend it. Reasonably priced. Good customer service. The wine tasting was a great experience. They had a musician performing outside which was a nice treat. They were also doing a bbq which was good. Beautiful grounds. All in all if you have a few hours to spare and want to have a different and enjoyable experience definitely stop by. Oh and we weren't sure if it was family friendly but it definitely is. Although my husband and I plan on coming back at night as a date night.

This was a very nice winery to visit and have a tasting. The tours however, are only given on the weekend which was too bad because I always enjoy the tours of wineries.

We don't normally do wine tastings. But we had the time, and we read good reviews about the place. The wine tasting was only $10 per person, and you get to keep the gorgeous wine glass they give you. We really enjoyed the wine (especially the Passion fruit). Not only was this a great place to taste some wines, but the backside of the property is gorgeous. We felt like we were in Bali or something. It was so tropical! There's a waterfall and the grounds are just very pretty - great for taking some pictures! The service was good, too. We had a great time.
