The Heights tower has a nice courtyard, water fountains, nice holiday lighting and of course a great view. It's a must do attraction for visitors and locals wanting a good view of the city and there are pay per use telescopes you can use to enhance your visit. I would suggest visiting on a nice, clear day since you will be subjected to the elements. One of my favorite places in the Heights and worth checking out on your visit to see Grandview Drive. Be sure to allow time to visit to the quaint row of shops and restaurants along Prospect in both directions from the Tower.

People who visit the peoria area wonder what is that big red tower towering above the valley. It is actually a water tower for the village of Peoria Heights that also has three observations decks up top. Went here a lot as a kid and it still looks kept up. It's only 2.00 for admission to ride the elevator up top, and there are stairs to navigate the three floors. There are great views of the Illinois River valley and nearby Peoria on a clear day and there are even distances to cities in Illinois, the United States, and around the world. It does get a little breezy since it is high above the valley. It is 200 ft tall with a large woodpecker on the side which is a nice touch. Good place to go on a sunny day!!
