Island Park in Geneva is a gorgeous, picturesque park located right on the Fox River. It’s a little tricky to get to, but once you’ve found it, it’s a playground kid’s paradise. I usually park in the small public parking lot near Mill Race Cyclery and walk over to the park. Be prepared to walk for a bit. You can’t park right next to the park, the only way there is to bike it from the car or walk. It’s maybe a ½ mile walk. The Fox River Trail, over a bridge, is the only way in. Now that I’ve made it sound like a super-secret society (it’s really not!), there are a few things to know about this park.The playground is made to look like a treehouse. It’s huge and really cool. Lots of opportunities for kids to climb and there are plenty of slides too. There’s also a small zip line located right next to the playground. From the playground you can see a train bridge and my son had loved watching trains go by.There’s a pavilion here with restrooms, but the restrooms are only open during the summer months. There’s also a few picnic tables and benches surrounding the playground.

Located along the Fox River in Geneva. Wide open spaces with a shelter. Great for family picnics or just to relax with a friend. God for fishing and playing frisbee, or walking your dog.

Nice stop on the bike path, or a desination of it's own. Lovely views of the charming city of Geneva and the Fox RIver amidst the wildlife! Bring bread for the ducks!

Live so close to the park and love its shady waterside paths and benches. Close to town and good for after brunch, lunch or dinner walks to walk off that meal! Great venue for events including public ones such as Shakespeare in the Park each summer.

This park is well maintained the bike path along the Fox River runs through it and the walker/hikers have an altrnate so they are not run over. This park is a good spot any time of year.

Surrounded by the Fox river, Island park is a wonderful place to ride bikes, roller blade, or picnic with the family. Beautiful scenery, and wildlife

The setting of this park is amazingly beautiful. It is along the fox river in beautiful Geneva. There is a very large playground and a concert venue. The bike path goes thru the park. There is also access from Route 25. The only thing to watch out for is the large number of ducks & geese. But this can't be avoided, due to the river.

This City park extends for half a mile on the bank of the Fox River in Geneva. It is shaded, quiet, and perfect for picnics, fishing, and just resting. There is a new playground for children to enjoy. Well worth a visit!

The obelisk and windmill along the Fox River offer a sort of tranquility to calm restless spirits.Lots of folks fishing and many kids playing.The geese and ducks have left "offerings" that make footing a bit precarious though.

Island Park is located in the middle of the Fox River. With bridges leading to it, this little park has everything needed for a beautiful day with a picnic in tow. A play area and benches along the river make for an idyllic setting. Lots of grassy areas are to be found as well for frisbee, bocci ball, or other lawn sports. Definitely not to be missed.

Wonderful place to take photos and take a stroll. Watch for birds and the Geneva dam on the other side of the bridge.

Had some time to burn after working in the area and since geocaching is a hobby, away I went to make some finds along the Fox.. Decent paved trail, friendly folks along the way! Enjoyable time was had.

Saw an American Bald Eagle. Very nice, clean, safe riverwalk. We walked the trail, took another pedestrian bridge back into town. Lots of friendly people on the trail.
