This park is pure pleasure to visit with carosel and waterfalls. When I first visited Freeport, IL I couldn't believe a city this size had such a wonderful park to offer.

Much of my misspent youth occurred in Krape Park. It's changed a lot in he last 50 years, some for the better, some not. The current park administration is turning what was otherwise an extremely natural gem into a sports park. With all of the taxpayer money dumped into the city parks, can't they at least clean up the public bathrooms? Quite literally some of the most disgusting bathrooms I've ever experienced, not just now, but for my entire life. If you're just in town to drive through, please enjoy the natural beauty while it lasts (but use a toilet somewhere else!)

Krape Park in Freeport, Illinois is a precious gem. I've been enjoying the natural beauty there for well over forty years. I took my children there and now I'm taking my grandchildren. There are walking paths all over, a large playground with a Kids Kastle, tennis courts, miniature golf, a bandshell, boats for rent, and a beautiful merry-go-round. Picnic tables are plentiful, as well as shelters available for rent. There is live music at the bandshell every summer, and fishing at Yellow Creek, which runs through the park. Don't miss the waterfall!

Krape Park is a beautiful gem in a dying town. It is one of the nicest parks I have ever visited--lots of trees, a nice playground for the kids, lots of places to picnic.

You can do it all at any age in this beautiful city park in Freeport, Illinois. Many things to do for young children, concerts at the bandshell, hiking trails, canoes, duck boats, ice skating in winter...a great park!

Very nice park with a variety of activities to do for the whole family to enjoy together such as mini golf, fishing, carousel, swings, slides & a kids castle, a bike path, duck paddle boats to ride, family or party gathering areas. The park is a beautiful & site seeing park.

Beautiful Park - something for everyone - LOVE the waterfall - Freeport if very lucky to have such a beautiful, well maintained park. Park entry is free, but they also have mini-golf, paddle boats, and real merry-go-round for nominal fee.

Travelers in the area really should take the time to visit this outstanding city park, especially with kids. A carousel for only 50 cents! A huge waterfall! A giant wooden playground! Numerous, mostly shady, areas to walk and picnic. And a lot more!

Crape park is awesome! my boyfriend and I love it here. Perfect place to sit down and have lunch, play a little tennis or mini golf, ride on the boats. we lovvvvvvve it!

This park has mini golf, duck pond, tennis courts, many shelters, a refurbished carrosel, bandshell, paddle boats, hiking trails, water features including a water fall, caves, disc golf and SOO much more!! We rented the ice house near the large bridge for a 100+ family reunion. very beautiful and lots to do for all ages. Kids loved the GINORMOUS kids castle play area.

Loved the carousel, paddle boats, and mini golf! Lots of good climbing areas for the kids. Scenic walking trails as well.

I love this park. It is the most beautiful local park that I have ever been to. i wish that I could bring this park with me wherever I move to. Lovely view of waterfall. Nice area for kids to play around in .
