This is one of the highlights if you live in lombard or in the lombard area. They hold the lilac parade in May while everything is in full bloom within the park. Its a stunning array of lilacs and other assorted flowers. The aroma walking through is amazing. Please note that you don't have to just go when things are in bloom. Lilac park holds many events. My favorite is the christmas event in park. When its warm, bring a blanket, a camera, a picnic basket, and thank me later.

Perfectly placed adjacent to the Library, and close to Dairy Queen. a great place to spend a few hours.

I live nearby so I come here often, but the two times I year I am always here is in the Spring and around Christmas. The Spring is the best time to be here (usually around Mother's Day) because the lilacs and tulips are in full bloom and the lilacs smell exquisite. During this time, there is not another park in the world I'd rather be. And to top it off, the park is free! Weekends in December is also nice because the village puts together a great light show, has train rides, photos with Santa, and hot chocolate.

Lilacia Park's Winter Wonderland is a display not to miss. Our entire family from 2 years old to 94 years old were delighted by this magical place. Be sure to visit.

The free holiday lights that you walk through are better than many of the shows you pay to drive through. It is a pretty big park with lights nearly every way you turn. It probably takes about 15-30 minutes to go though, depending on how cold you get.

Quick trip through on an evening winter run. Always visit during the holidays because they do such a nice job on decorating the park.

Try to catch this park when the lilacs are in full bloom-check out Lombards Bloom O Meter on the city's webpage. Some years the tulips bloom at the same time. The park is lovely anytime. The movies held in the park on wednesday nights in the summer sometimes have drunk and/or homeless visitors-just be aware. Parking can sometimes be a challenge. A beautiful spot for a wedding, special photos, etc.

You'll never want to miss a trip to this gem in the spring. Late April and early May the tulips and lilac are in full bloom and just the fragrance will make so you'll never want to leave. I used to live a block down from here before moving to Indiana, and I really miss having such a beautiful park like this so close to home. Started as a personal collection of Colonel Plum and his wife Helen had a beautiful home on this property which was gifted to the people of Lombard. A fabulous gem this shouldn't be missed.

There is never a bad time to take in a stroll or pictures at the park. Whether you come in the spring for the millions of tulips, at lilac time in May for the trees and smells or at the holidays for the lights and attractions you will never be disappointed. So bring the family, wedding party or date and your camera and enjoy the wonders of Lilacia Park.

In the spring this park is full of Lilac's everywhere, the scent is spectacular to the senses. Right now (6/11/14) the Lilac's are done blooming, but it is a very nice walk on winding brick pathways. Hydrangea's are blooming, lilies, alliums are fading but still interesting with their round heads. If you are near Lombard stop in, it is also connected to the public library which has a nice display of their own!

Lilacia park has a huge collection of tulips for the early spring and lilacs for a little later. If you love flowers you will love it.

I am sad I never took the time to see this park until this spring. 25,000 tulips and 700 Lilac bushes in a space made just for them. It is laid out so beautifully, you too will come back every year!

If you come around Mother's Day this place is blooming!! There's so many beautiful lilacs to see and smell. Plus the Lilac Parade runs around this time so it perfect to walk through the park they go over to the parade. Lots of pretty flowers here too. Landscaping is really nice.

This is the time of year to visit Lilacia Park... walk the wandering paths through the carefully arranged planting of tulips and daffodils. It is astonishing how many varieties of lilacs the park has. Stop by and grab a scent of heaven.
