Anyone who's been to the GC knows that you start at the Visitor's Center near Mather's Point. Free films and exhibits and restrooms. Short walk to the rim. Bus tours and shuttle service also available from here.

Very helpful guides who mapped out our very short trip. They gave us great recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Had very limited time to visit the GC & the Ranger gave us a few easy options for our time + some tips on how to engage our young daughter. Ranger Paul made our visit!

The information centre were extremely helpful. We caught the bus up to some of the areas and walked back. the bus drivers have a wealth of information. A great day out and one of the more wonderful sights I have ever seen.

We went to this visitor's center only in our second day. We regretted not going first thing in our visit. They have very good materials and explanations about the canyon and about the park. Good for the kids. There is also a nice movie to watch to (just wait for the next one when you arrive – it takes half an our or so). They have information about he trails and it's difficulty as well.

The Canyon View Information Center has lots of good information and things to look at. Also water stations to refill your water bottles. They really encourage recycling.

We stopped here first thing on our trip of the Grand Canyon. Glad we did, they have a short 20 minute film of what to expect for first timer's and gave advice about what trails to do and where to go for the best view during sunset. Friendly staff and short lines.

Go here first! Talk to the park rangers and let them inform you of what to do and when programs are offered. Let the rangers know how much time you have and how long you will be staying. They are very informative and will let you know what activities will be offered for those in your party........

There are many boards just outside the centre showing all the different trails and their levels of difficulty. Any further questions will be entertained by the staff in the centre itself.

I had to wait in line a 10 minutes to get one question answered. The video on the canyon didn't work.

We could not determine a place most convenient for viewing the Grand Canyon. When we researched, most results were for tour services. We did not want to hike or climb, just view. When we reached the visitor center, we discovered that the North Rim was closed for the season. The glass overlook is at the west rim. The center is at the south rim and had everything we were looking for: wheelchair accessible trails leading to spectacular overlooks. Bookstore/ gift shop and restrooms were great. Rangers were very busy but the signage was sufficient for our needs. The history center was great. Wish we had known all of this in advance and are so happy we happened upon this area. There is a fee of $25 per car to enter. No additional charge for history center. Bring reusable water bottles. Williams is a great place to enter/ start toward the center; Flagstaff is best overnight location. Great visit here and highly recommend for less physically fit or novice visitors.

Very effective film show illustrating the formation of the canyon & the incredible geological formations. It also included history of the native peoples who inhabited the canyon.

A great way to plan your day or trip around the canyon. The ranger was very friendly and informative and gave us some great insights re our visit. Well worth spending 20 minutes is so there before heading out.
