sam poe gallery

We had brilliant time in Bisbee last Saturday (1/10/15). The town is very colorful and friendly. We walked, visited the mine, had lunch and some great coffee, and spend an hour talking with Sam and Poe about their art. I and our children were captivated by Poe's installations and sketches which he was working on. We especially loved a kinetic installation made of found objects - the sound and motion were very unique. Poe told us where different components came from, and we suggested that some of his creations remind us of Miyazaki's animated technology. We also loved his metal donkey, which is truly beautiful. My husband was drawn to Sam's paintings. We had lovely time and will go back.
