Great place for a dinner and a movie all in one place. Food is good, for a theater, but don't expect a 5 star restaurant experience. It's very convenient and efficient - only one stop. Food is s little pricey for quality, but if you're looking for convenience it's the way to go. Theater is very clean, comfortable and the staff is great.

We waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for a milk shake, apple crisp and the Hummus plate that never came. Our drink order never came. The blue button was on the whole time and only twice did the waitress show up. Once to take our order and only to tell us our food would be there shortly yet was a lie. At the end of the movie someone else put a bill for the food we never got on the tray. What a way to ruin a date night. I would rather eat before the movie and get my own food at the snack bar than deal with a bunch of rude teenagers waiters and managers that know they are running a second rate threater but dont care.

Comfortable seating. Great movie. Drinks and service it's wonderful. Finally a movie I don't sleep through.

This is a theater where you can get a meal and a drink. The prices are quite reasonable, but the food is pretty basic. Our sandwiches and fries were barely warm. The servers really need to have flashlights when they bring you your check, as you have a hard time reading the numbers.

I have visited Movie Tavern in Suwanee numerous times - the most recent was last weekend. Our visits are consistently good here, and our server this past weekend was absolutely great! Very friendly, personable, and responsive. There are people giving negative reviews because their "food took 30 minutes to arrive" and such... come on. That is NOT a long time. And especially when you take in account the entire movie experience they're delivering. The typical movie lasts at least an hour and a half, so getting your food a half hour in seems like good timing to me. I honestly feel that some people have just never been servers, nor have worked in customer service. This theatre does a great job - the seats are comfy, and there is finally assigned seating!!!! I love this!! We switched here from Studio Movie Grill after 3 terrible consecutive visits. We have always had a great time at Movie Tavern... highly recommended!!

I live about 5 minutes from this theatre and have been to no other theatre since this one opened. Not anymore. I'm done. There has been a steady spiral down in every aspect of this place. The food WAS good. Now it's terrible. Cold, late, overcooked and usually wrong. The service WAS good. Now it is so bad it is beyond description. There has been NO ONE behind the bar our last 3 visits. NO ONE taking tickets our last 2 visits. On my last visit (last week) : We waited 40 minutes for our food. (Cold) Plus I did not got my drink until 10 minutes before the movie ended. And our server was walking in slow motion in front of us during the main climax of the movie to drop off our check. (Before my drink came). And to say the servers are rude when you do finaly see one is an understatement. And to top it off: No toilet paper in the bathrooms, multiple stalls Out of Order and the floor was just disgusting. I don't know what happened, but they need a new management team PRONTO! This place WAS great. Now it's a dump. I'm going to the new Colonial 7 miles up the road from now on. Forget this place.

Great facility . Great movie screen and sound . Great concept . Poor service . We arrived 30 min prior to movie , 2 min before movie starts the waitress addressed us . One other time I gave them my mug to get filled it took 20 min or so to get it back with warm beer. Another occasion we returned some nasty looking chicken fingers 2xs . Its a waist of time to talk to the manager . Waist of time to contact customer service .

This was my first visit, but won't be my last. Finally, a movie theatre that doesn't turn the volume ALL the way up. Loud passages are loud enough, but not overpowering.Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was good, but the fries were barely warm.

We always choose to go to the Movie Tavern in Suwanee. Its less crowded then other movie/dinner establishments and has much better food and drinks. We go with or without our kids. We have never had a bad experience here. They handle the lines quickly, the food is always good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Push the blue button and someone is there in less then a minute...every time. We saw "American Sniper" on opening night with a packed theater and we still got top notch service. Our favorite foods are the mini-me burgers, cranberry salad pita and the smores cookies. This place is always clean. We love it!!

I chose Movie Tavern Horizon Village over Studio Movie Grill, solely based upon their closer proximity to our home. It was a mistake I will never make again. The afternoon ticket prices were a definite draw, and I expected reasonably high food prices and had budgeted accordingly. What we didn't expect, however, was for the staff to be rude and inept, and for management to be completely powerless to do anything about it.We took my two children for dinner and a movie, and after nearly 20 minutes of the blue light being on - someone came to take a drink order. We had to convince them that we were ready to order both food and drinks, as they only wanted to handle drinks at the time. After ordering, we waited another 10 minutes for the wrong drink order to arrive, and at least another 5 for the correction. Within minutes, the two adult entrees arrived, leaving the children with nothing. We waited and waited for their food to arrive - so as not to be rude, leaving us with two options: a) eat in front of the kids who had saved up their appetites and not eaten in some time, or b) let the food go cold. We chose B, and by the time I left my seats to address the issue - our food was cold, and they were grumpy. When I asked why there was such a delay on simple kid's menu items, while our dishes were brought, I was told "We have two full theatres next door to take care of".The server waited until the credits were rolling to bring us a bill, which I attempted to return to him with my card, but he rejected. "I have other customers to take care of," he told me. I took the bill out to the main restaurant and attempted to pay it. They wouldn't let me, saying only the server could do this. I insisted they take the bill to him and get it processed, as I had kids awaiting departure. After explaining what had happened during our visit, we received not even an apology or offer to speak with a manager, but a "Here!" as they tossed our paid bill at us awaiting the inclusion of a tip.I don't ask for much, but if I'm going to visit your business and spend a large sum of money - I expect services to be rendered as advertised, not to be treated rudely by staff, and for issues to be handled when needed - as I would with my business. It is clear that the Movie Grill is making money off a concept that has been perfected by their competition, and that for as long as customers will accept a half-rate attempt -they'll continue doing so.

It's always fun to go to the movie tavern. Just wish the food was made fresh. I realize that is hard with so many people at once. Just had cold food the last couple of times. Had some great service from Ryan. Will go back

The food and service was very good, and reasonably priced. The seats were comfy and the theatre was well set up for acoustics.

If you are looking to see a good flick and eat dinner and even have some drinks, this is the place for you. At the Movie tavern you can enjoy all your top movies while enjoying great food with beer and cocktails. I have been here several times and never had a bad time

My husband and I go here occasionally for an early Sunday evening movie and date night. The crowd is usualy light and its a nice way to finish up the weekend. The food is ok and its nice to be able to enjoy a coctail or two during the movie. We will definitely go back.

I have been here several times to check out a matinee and would say while the seating is comfortable the rest of the experience is just ok to adequate. I have always found the theater area a bit too cool and not all that welcoming - compared to AMC/Discover Mills - my favorite in the area.In addition their popcorn is just not all that fresh and tasted like it had been sitting awhile. Lastly, their payment system, for your food order, is a bit confusing and would be concerned how it would work if the theater was really full. Will use in a pinch but not my fave.
